Very disappointed in this neighborhood spot. The service was terrible. The older lady at the counter was extremely rude and unhelpful. I ordered an enchilada, two smothered Beef & Bean burritos and two handheld bean and chicharrones burritos. It came to $52. I understand prices have gone up but $52 for four burritos is crazy. I asked for a receipt, a detailed receipt not just the credit card receipt and she was irritated but gave it to me and I found that they charged an additional $5.25 per burrito for chili and cheese. When we got home I opened my burrito (photo) the Beef & Bean smothered burritos were bean and potato and I picked at it then threw it away. The bean and chicharrones where also not edible. The chicharrones were large spongy, rubbery and not crispy at all. I could have eaten at Red Lobster For $52 and probably had friendly service. We will not return.

Camargos: A Hole-in-the-Wall Burrito Gem I recently discovered Camargos thanks to a friend's recommendation, and I'm so glad I did! This unassuming spot is a true hidden treasure. I sampled three burritos: the beef and rellino, the beef and Carnes desaperda, and the classic bean and cheese. Each one was a delicious surprise. The handmade flour tortillas were the perfect vessel for the generously filled, flavorful contents. I loved the option of having the chilled sauce either inside or outside the burrito. The burritos were massive and packed with flavor. If you find yourself in Denver, Camargos is an absolute must-try! Highlights: * Large, handmade flour tortillas * Generous fillings * Delicious flavor combinations * Option for chilled sauce inside or outside

I Love This Place ! I’ve been coming here since I was a kid ! The food is always AMAZING AND SERVICE TOO !! BUT THE PRICES 😬😬😭😭😮‍💨😮‍💨Defiantly NEED TO CHNAGE!!! And THAT ALL COMES DOWN TO TO BEING ABLE TO ORDER ONLINE, CHANGE YOUR HOURS Mon-Fri hours too 8am-8:30pm and Fri-Sat hour 9am -10pm and even open Sundays 10–6 and Increase Your social media present to twitter, instagram, tik-tok,make a website.Make it so you can order online , delivery and prompt more.. open the area back up too when you guys here open during Covid.. MAKE YOUR SIGN STICK OUT MORE PUT LIGHTS OR HAVE IT LIGHT UP SO PEOPLE ARE DRAWIN TO THE PLACE !! Make the building stick out more so it doesn’t just look like a liq store !!! There is so much you guys can be doing to increase more business !! Like with left over food give back to community or the homeless etc! AND I SAY ALL THIS OUT OF LOVE !! Cause like I said I LOVE THIS PLACE AND I WOULD HATE FOR IT EVER CLOSE !! All I want IS THIS PLACE TO SUCCEED BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN A AROUND FOR A LONG TIME AND Is OWED MORE Recognition than it gets !! Just my opinion !! I MEAN THE PRICES CAN BE WORTH WHAT YOUR BUYING !! But not once ITS TO HIGH TO THE POINT WHERE YOU BARLEY WANT TO GO EAT HERE CAUSE CAUSE ITS TOO EXPENSIVE WHEN CHUBBYS IS DOWN THE STREET AND HAVE CHEAPER PRICES THAN YOU GUYS .. And im just saying .. OTHER THAN THAT IF YOU LOVE HOMECOOKED FRESH MEXICAN FOOD !! This is the place EVERYTHING THEY MAKE IS FRESH AND HOMEMADE AND VARY VARY DELICIOUS...

READ THIS,..I use to work here. The owner Ventura the old man holds his nose with one hand while making burritos in the prep table, turns his head and blows hard out his nostrils. Blowing mucus and boogers in the kitchen floor. Then goes right back to making burritos and other food preparations.

The pollos asados and tamales are frozen for months ahead of time, so you are eating really old meat.

Owner and son handle dirty money then go to the kitchen making food without washing their hands. Money has been known to carry feces, germs, dried blood and so on.

When they had a buffet and people would not eat everything in their plate the owner would discreetly pour the left overs back in the buffet trays. I would purposely mix everything the customer left over in their plate after the customer left so the owner would not reuse the left over food. Many, many times it was out of my reach and the owner would dump the left overs back in the buffet.

Many times I saw rats where the food was made and...

My mom used to take me to Camargo Tamales Restaurant when I was a kid. I don't remember if it was in the 70's or 80's when I first went. For me, Camargo's is nostalgic. The food is a good representation of old school DenMex (the kind which the city has hemorrhaged since gentrification). It is straight forward, legit, good food, and rates high for that. Camargo's is a hole in the wall place which has historically been mainly a take-out joint, and should be reviewed with that in mind. I say that because I see some reviewers having expectations which really don't apply. Camargo's is a Denver-in-the-know kind of place; it appeals to locals, and must be respected as such. I guess what I am trying to say is: Camargo's food is good quality, tasty, reliable, and represents DenMex well (with homemade tortillas which is a vulnerability of many local Mexican places). It is not, however, intended to be what it is not, like a sophisticated sit-down, service-oriented, other-region-of-Mexican-food,...
