Growing pains!!!
Get ready for a decently long review. My family of 4: 2 teenage girls, my wife and myself. Rated our experience and came up with this review. We’ve been looking forward to it for a while now and today was our first experience.
Burgers 5.9/10: Not one of our burgers was made correctly, and each one came out cold(cheese wasn’t even melted). We like that they use fresh ingredients and not frozen. You could tell the ingredients are good quality, but it didn’t have much flavor.
Pot roast 5.1/10: I gotta start off by saying the pot roast had a decent flavor, but they definitely don’t give you enough gravy. The toast they put it on is mush, and the roast beef itself is fairly dry.
Broccoli 0.1/10: Cold, unfavorable, mushy, would definitely recommend anything else as far as the sides go.
Mashed potatoes 1.2/10: i’d be surprised if these are real mashed potatoes. It’s odd that this food for four cost $85 and they would use fake ingredients when so many of their ingredients are fresh. Potatoes lacked flavor texture oh and I think they lacked potatoes I could be wrong, but I think they are, fake!
Cheese curds 6.9/10: decent but definitely not Midwest “real cheese curds”.
French fries 2.9/10: super bland, and taste frozen!
Onion rings 2.7/10: cold and overcooked with little to no flavor
Fried fish and tartar sauce 7.4/10: The fried fish was one of the better foods that we got. If you like fried fish, I would highly recommend this plus the portions are large… that being said they’re not cheap. For three pieces of fish and a couple sides it’s over $16.
Sweet treats 8.1/10: We got three different types of malts and shakes, which were all delicious! One of us had a broken cup, which leaked the entire time so that was a pain but things happen.
Atmosphere 8.2/10: The restaurants, brand new and clean and the staff does a great job to make sure it stays clean. Bathrooms also very clean.
Staff 8:10: The staff was incredibly kind, and the young man who took our order, was extremely patient with us. They came around often to ask us how we were. And they were happy to help us with the multiple mistakes made. We didn’t ask for them to remake any of our food, but I wish they would have asked if we would have liked them too. It’s definitely clear that everybody’s new, so we had extra grace with the staff who are all in a learning phase.
Value 1.5/10: If you’re looking for value, this is not the fast casual/fast food place for you! Prices for the amount of food you get are extremely out of hand. For us as a family of four it cost $85 to fill up and have dessert. We’ve paid less at a sit down restaurant tax/tip included.
I’m confident that as the restaurant and the employees are around longer, the quality of food will increase. I also believe the amount of mistakes will decrease. It could be growing pains but for now I must say spend your hard earned money ($85 for family of 4) elsewhere. Terrible value, mid-grade food, great service! We probably won’t come here anytime soon but wish you all the...
Read moreSo many missteps. As I was walking in the restaurant for my first visit the person in front of me closes the door on me. While this would be considered rude, and not a reflection on the restaurant, it turns out she was one of their staff members... hospitality kind of went downhill from there!
While they were chatting it up, I was left standing. Thankfully some noticed me and invited me to another register.
I let them know it was my first time there and asked for a recommendation. There recommendation was on point, however, things like confirming if I would like cheese, Onion and tomato on my burger were overlooked. As I said, I had explained it was my first visit and though many of the things I didn't mind, I would have passed on the cheese and substituted mustard for the mayo. I can be held accountable for not asking as well.
So I am not sure what the break room accomodations are in this place. But the employees horsing around did take away from the peace meal I was looking for.
The staff members children running around the dining room being disruptive was also distracting.
Finally, though it was nice to see the camaraderie in your team members, when it carries over into the dining area it's a bit much.
The fact that your staff brought my meal out to me and made sure I had plenty of napkins with my cone was thoughtful.
French fries were good but would have been better served hot. This was my first visit here and not much to draw me back.
The crispy bacon was on point in appearance and taste. Also you have an amazing cup of diet root beer!
While I might consider this location for their drive thru. If you are looking for a quiet place to dine in, based on my experience this evening this would not be my first choice.
And a reminder to your staff. Whether or not they are on the clock, if they are in uniform their behavior reflects on this establishment. A failure to hold the door for your customers while in uniform reflects poorly on you and your employer!
While the people who actually took my order, brought my meal etc were pleasant and a pleasure to deal. All the other missteps of the evening overshadowed and made for a less than stellar experience.
While I might be willing to choose this...
Read moreDec 2024 Christmas Eve to-go and had the luck to be in Angela's line at the counter.
After maaany visits here, I was surprised to be asked if I was a senior citizen (no, don't get me wrong....lol), I actually thought she was asking if I was a "singer"...🤭... then realized "senior", and had to say, yes(!), proudly! 😉 Anyway, I got a 5% discount! As I have said, am here very often and never knew about it. Angela, I appreciate your going beyond but, what I appreciate more is how warm and welcoming you made a customer like me feel. 5-⭐ customer service!
BTW, this time, I got to try the Reuben Sandwich and will be adding that to our list of favorites which includes, the Cod Fish Dinner, Mushroom and Swiss sandwich and their Shrimp!
Original Review : 2nd day of operation, this was a Friday. Went for takeout at a little past 2 pm and drive through was about 7 cars long when I went in and still had cars lined went I came out.
Considering it was 2pm, the restaurant was about near full and there were constant in and out customers.
Got my favorite Mushroom and Swiss to-go and the day's Really Reese's ice cream.
The wait for my takeout was about 15 minutes, but, could be forgiven as growing pains coupled with high volume customers.
The restaurant is exactly the Culver's look except smaller than the other one on Buckley Rd..
Service was 👍, as I have expected and experienced from Culver's. Hope this continues just like how service has always been top-notch in the other Buckley branch.
Thank you, Culver's for shortening my drive to have your...
