Happy Cafe Express — Restaurant in Denver

Ordered my usual order and it took nearly an hour to arrive. The driver got lost. When I opened the bag, the order was wrong. I called the restaurant and the guy didn’t believe me and began describing chicken chow mein. I told him I know what it looks like and this isn’t it. He finally said he’ll send the correct order. I have been waiting for we’ll over an hour and it still hasn’t arrived. About a half hour ago I called and he said I was the driver’s next stop. I’m thinking she got lost again…. It’s been two and a half hours since my original order. You’d think when you screw up you’d just fix it. Nope, not these guys. He just says “We busy”. Hope I get my dinner…

UPDATE: Got our missing entree but there was shrimp in the chicken chow mein. She’s allergic to that stuff so not such a great dinner after all. To top it off, after me waiting to eat because our meal wasn’t complete, they didn’t replace the whole order. I had their mistake meal waiting for them to take and expected, after making me wait for an hour and a half, that they would simply bring a fresh pair of entrees. Nope, had to eat mine cold. Not the end of the world but my wife is busy picking the bad stuff out of her chow mein. Perhaps they should bangs their name to...

I'm only giving a bad review because we didn't get the respect as a customer. All customers should be equal, we also understand that the restaurant is busy, but it is a fact that we are ignored by the restaurant and the owner for 2 hours. We waited two hours inside but we were cut in line by the owner's friend who came later than us and were served first. During the period, some takeaway orders were made in advance and sent out. The core of the catering industry is the service industry and we were very disappointed with this restaurant. We were sure the food at this restaurant must be delicious, but the poor service was disappointing. We were told there would be an hour wait, we accepted and we waited. But the owner had a table of friends who came to the restaurant after we waited an hour and they were served first. And when we waited almost two hours, another table of customers who came in after us was served and served first. We were not even offered tea and were completely ignored for two hours inside...

No complaints. Everything was delicious! Happy Cafe saved the day! Every year, I pre-order Chinese food for Christmas dinner. However, my favorite spot stopped taking preorders. I am a creature of habit, and the idea of change was a serious struggle. After much research. I put a Christmas day pre-order in at Happy Cafe. But... Just hours before Christmas dinner, we had more friends that wanted to join the Chinese food on X-mas tradition.

I called Happy Cafe. Without hesitation, they added more food to my original order.

I'm a very picky eater. But the chef listened to ALL my request.

Now, I wake up thinking about their (bean sprout free) fried rice, dream about the crab cheese wontons, and drool a bit each time their sesame chicken crosses my mind.

I am thankful they provide generous side sauce portions.
