Usually my husband and I go to the Star Kitchen but they're closed for repairs. So we tried here! This place seriously BLEW ME AWAY I'm not usually blown away by food to the point where I'm like 🤯🤯 but. It. Was. Good. The portion sizes are beyond generous. Everything is so delicious and the seasonings are 👌👌 The egg rolls are the best egg rolls I have ever had in my life. We got the Lemonade Soda (my new favorite drink!), Seafood Crepe, Dumplings, Fish Ball Pho and one of the Meat Rice plates. The staff or family that runs the place are so sweet and nice. The plants inside are one of my favorite parts. My new go-to!

They will take care of you here. I’ve tried every pho spot on Federal and this is easily my favorite. The pho is fantastic, their broth is nice and light but with a ton of complexity. It is family owned and operated and they genuinely care about your meal here. The menu has some deeper cut Vietnamese classics like bun bo hue and banh xeo, everything cooked with care and attention. Not just one of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Denver, but one of the best restaurants in Denver, period.

This place is a secret. It is so freaking good and no one knows about it. If you're reading this, you could know about it, but won't truly know until you actually go there and eat. We got the Golden Combo platter. Holy moly, the best of the best on this plate, grilled chicken, pork, shrimp, etc. Everything made to wrap in banh trang. There is also way more on this menu that you can't find at other viet places. I'm going back to try out banh khot, banh beo, and bun rieu.

Surrounded by a plethora of pho joints, Golden Pho has its work cut out trying to stand out and attract clientele.

Came her with the girlfriend for dinner on a chilly winter evening, expanding our pho horizons away from the more-popular places.

Pretty glad we did now.

Tucked into a strip-mall, they had no frills, no fancy décor, no expensive ambiance. I'm fine with that though, I don't need a TV (though they have one) to get through dinner. Don't need a fancy fish tank to look at either.

The food was pretty good. Crab wontons were very tasty and seemed fresh. The pho was tasty, but a little bit bland in the broth area. Some Sriracha and hoisin helped out with that.

It was cheap, pretty tasty overall, and a nice little hidden gem...

This would be a perfect score if they hadnt raised the price of my favorite platter so drastically by $5. But their food is very very good. I just can't afford it as often now.

Platter is now $38.95, if this menu they posted is accurate and recent. I've found a lot of places that the menu price is lower than when you go there. I used to get this platter for $25. I understand that the price of everything is going up, I just wish it was still affordable. Platter can easily feed 3-4 or maybe more people, depending on portions. Can easily feed 3 hungry adults. And it comes with this amazing crispy fish patty that I haven't seen anywhere else! I wish I knew the name...
