I was really hopeful for this restaurant considering I love trying mac and cheese wherever I go and this place specializes in mac and cheese! However after finishing the food, I am unfortunately disappointed.
I came in craving a buffalo mac and cheese which thankfully they had as a staple menu item. (If I was about to walk into a mac and cheese place and not see Buffalo Mac on the menu I would have walked out lol)
Kavi took care of me and was very pleasant and friendly to talk to. He was probably the highlight of the whole experience to be honest. He gave me a rundown of the menu and highlighted a couple menu items that were his favorite which I can appreciate. I still came in knowing what I wanted though. I decided to get a combo because I wanted to try the cheesecake bites.
He put my food together in an aluminum pan to be put through the conveyor belt. However, the oven wasn't turned on and I was watching my food sitting on the conveyor belt while Kavi was having a conversation in the dining room with a table. It didn't take too long for him to realize though and turn it on and the oven heated up pretty quickly and I got my food in about 10 minutes since I paid.
When I got my food, it really wasn't what I was expecting. It looks like all the ingredients that he put in the metal pan which is mixed together and thrown in a heart shaped container. No garnish on top to make it look good so it kind of just look like slop in a bowl for a second and wasn't totally appealing at first.
When I got to try the mac and cheese, I couldn't really comment on what the cheese sauce tasted like because it was doused in hot sauce to the point where that's really all I was tasting. Slightly cheesy hot sauce with bits of chicken and carrots and celery with noodles and blue cheese. I had also asked for breadcrumbs and I didn't notice any. Maybe I got the wrong thing? I don't know but it definitely wasn't worth the almost $13 I paid for it. Could have used more chicken and could have been presented better besides being in a heart-shaped bowl.
The cheesecake bites were also unfortunately disappointing. I went to pick them up and I thought they were hot but they were cold??? Would have been better if they had went through the oven and had a hot outside with a nice cool inside. Dipping sauces were also generic and nothing to talk home about.
The atmosphere looks nice but feels a little hollow and the music that was playing when I walked in was really sad and definitely didn't feel like a popping mac and cheese place.

Read moreI came with my family who are big mac and cheese fans and all of us left unimpressed with the experience. It was over $50 with a tip for three basic bowls and two fountain drinks for food that tasted like it came out of your freezer at home.
Firstly, the teenagers working there didn’t seem to know what went in any of the bowls and were overwhelmed - and it wasn’t particularly busy.
The bowls were largely plain pasta with a very small amount of liquid cheese sauce and a slice of cheese on top. Toppings were added -extremely- sparingly. My ‘skinny sweet and spicy bowl’ was literally a bowl of previously frozen cauliflower and broccoli with a quarter cup of chicken and diced vegetables sprinkled on top, and maybe a teaspoon of sauce. It tasted like freezer-burned frozen veggies with not even salt on it — and was $12.99. I had to douse it in sriracha to make it taste like something.
(Before I added Sriracha I had to peel back all the layers of dried congealed sriracha from the bottle in order to use it which was unpleasant.)
If your whole menu is mac and cheese then your mac and cheese should taste better than Kraft for $13, and be a larger portion. Won’t be back, you're definitely better off with...
Read moreOkay, so recently I came into this location with my daughter. And she can be an incredibly picky eater from time to time. So we got in there and we’re greeted in such a nice tone, and by this point, my daughter had her mind set on getting a buttered noodle. And unfortunately for her that wasn’t on the menu… so I asked if there was anything they could do and quite possibly the nicest worker I’ve ever met (I believe his name was jude) said “hmm, that’s not on the menu but let me see what I can do” and, with a smile, he began working on my daughter’s dish. So he was able to not only accommodate my family, but be patient and actually go out of his way to make my daughter happy. And he said it was “his secret recipe” and it made my daughters day! She couldn’t stop smiling when she ate the buttered noodle and she even said goodbye to Jude, and he waved and said goodbye back. If that’s not phenomenal customer service then I don’t know what is. We will DEFINITELY be back, all because Jude went out of his way to make a family happy. Thank you for the wonderful experience, and I hope there are many...
