I happened to be in area hungry and decided to do quick search , despite having driven many times past this small restaurant I hadn't stopped just wanted the closest and after viewing their reviews I stopped with so.ewhat high expectations.
My experience was nice starting out I like the layout even though small hadn't realized they do have patio seating. The orderk g area is quite small perhaps reason no eating is allowed I side.
I try to support small businesses and really wanted to lie this small venue.
I would still give them benefit of doubt due to several reasons I will mention.
They seemed to get pretty busy and I'm sure it helps they have many ala cart options at reasonable prices allowing for tasting variety of items if choose to.
I ordered a taco, pupusa , tostada and agu de horchata. However upon receiving my oder toom a seat went back and and they were having trouble with order a ringing at once. According to Google that's not their busiest. Seems they could benefit from implementing ting a better system I mentioned If I would get my agua d horchata.
They I dicated they would in a few I waited they proceeded to hand o er order after a while was told I had not bee. Hatched for it. I simply stated it was OK and went our to eat my food.
It probably didn't help I was hungry and was a hot day as I proceeded to eat pupusa it was soggy on bottom whether that was from how they make them or waiting on water that was not taken upon order I'll give befit of doubt. The fla or was not i.pressi e or special while did taste fresh.
The tostada de ce I he seemed small portion but once prepared it was probably the best out of the 3 items. I didn't get much flavor or from the taco or the salsa beside a spice but no flavor whatsoever. It would of been I was thirsty or who knows. They seem to be pretty busy and based on amount of reviews maybe fumbled my order and hence provide 4...
Read moreI honestly found this place to be very rude, not worth the money, and skimpy food items that I feel were made with less quality intentionally. I felt more than discriminated against, which in the right setting I ca. See where maybe I am at times, but the rudeness didn't come from the dislike of how I look other than the fact my skin color is white and is don't speak any Spanish. There is a sign that says you must wait in your car after ordering, so I really had no issue with this at first until i was treated in a tone and rudeness thatbi found inappropriate. I had to ask three times If I could please have my drink to take to the car with me. She would quickly tell me yes and rush to comment on whatever conversation she had going in with someone else. Really it was the body language and facial expressions that said it all. Anyway after looking at me like im.stupid and ridley pointing to the sign and telling me what i u says, I said yeah, I know, and as soon as you give me my drink, I will happily go to my car. So as this is all happening, three men walk in. This is somewhat when the employess demeanor changed. I walk out, I go to.my car, I sit for what seems like forever and then I look up, and here comes the three men walking out, speaking Spanish and holding their food. Um first of all why are they jot waiting in their car and second they ordered double of what I did so why did theirs come so much faster than mine. In the end the order was put together messy and I was missing tacos. I may know know a lot of Spanish but I know enough slang and I know those women their were...
Read moreI was in the neighborhood briefly and stopping in for a quick bite was not planned, just convenient and on the way. I walked in to this incredibly small structure that is mostly kitchen, with two cleverly oriented monitors on either wall being used as menus and videos of food preparation. There are four Barstool type seats opposite the kitchen facing the window with a long counter for dining in. Outside there are a few covered tables also. The food is made fresh to order, including the tortillas and bread; all of it. Definitely allow at least 10 minutes for your food to be made unless they are busy. The girl who took my order spoke no English, but fortunately there was someone eating who is bilingual and helped to translate my order. Now I definitely like to try new things and at the same time I'm someone who knows what I like to eat and how I like it prepared. I prefer Mexican food and other Cuisines to American in the first place, so I was happy that Tacos Acapulco was in my path. The food is authentic traditional Mexican fare, so definitely do not expect Taco Bell or even the Americanized Mexican restaurant style. If you like eating the type of Mexican food that is served out of the big food trucks or the elaborate food stands that are set up outside of some Mexican carnicerias, then you will absolutely love this place! It is very similar but with a much bigger kitchen and a few places to sit. Clearly this place is perfect for takeout. The food was absolutely delicious so this place is an EASY 5 stars (for take out with Styrofoam plates and plastic...
