Mian Fresh Noodle Bar — Restaurant in Denver

If you keep your expectation of this place as a fast-casual shop, the food is decent. Tried five items - soup dumplings, chasu pork buns, wonton noodle soup, beef noodle soup, and mapo tofu. As it's an open kitchen, it was quite disappointing to discover they are using packaged (store bought frozen) dumplings.

Soup dumplings: forgettable, would not order these again - couldn't see the brand of the dumplings, but taste-wise, they were very similar to the frozen dumplings from Trader Joe's Chasu pork buns: not enough filling and pork was quite hard and chewy; would not order again Wonton noodle soup: not bad, but nothing special Beef noodle soup: decent Mapo tofu: best of the items we ordered, but missing numbing and pungent "mala" usually found in this dish

Not sure if they are making their own noodles, but they were fine. Dumplings, another story - make your own dumplings!!!

In the Denver metro, Chopstickers has a similar menu, but I would put Chopstickers a notch above Mian, in terms of food...

First time in… service was great for fast casual counter service. They bring the food to your table with a napkin and fork, so being considerate of that was that “going the extra mile part”. The food was delicious! Got egg rolls, won tons in chili oil and the Dan Dan Noodles. I can’t stop thinking about those Dan Dan Noodles. I could probably eat them every other day. Only downside, while eating it, the chili oil did get all over my clothes but that’s was my fault not theirs. The sauce just had a mind of its own. I just recommend you be conscious of your outfit when slurping down the yumminess that is Dan Dan. FYI… it has some heat but it’s worth it. Can’t wait to go back. The place is new and the decor is fun. Check this place out! The quality is worth them...

We had such a wonderful experience at Mian Noodle Bar. From the moment ww walked in, the service was welcoming, warm, and genuine—it immediately set the tone for the meal.
