This newer location is spacious with lots of places to sit. There are usually a number of people working or studying at tables. Yes, the parking lot is small, but it has a drive-through that has excellent service if you can’t find an open parking spot.
I would say there are a couple of things they could do to improve this location. As I said, it’s big. There are a number of tables and chairs, but no comfy seating areas with overstuffed arm chairs that you see in other locations. Quite often the chairs are disheveled and moved around, which does make it seem disorganized, as though a rush just ended and they hadn’t been able to recover yet. There are too tall bar chairs pulled up to regular tables. The pick up bar has a very long extension, maybe 25 feet. This building was constructed for Starbucks, so it seems like a strange feature that is not being used.
The thing that prompted my review is the staff I encountered this afternoon. I went in with my daughter, ordering two drinks and a lemon loaf. We were not greeted, which is always awkward. As we took a little step back after ordering, the employee told me not to walk away and wait for the lemon loaf...in just that tone.
A couple of minutes later, the barista called my name and I picked up the waiting drink. It looked like mine, so I said thank you, put in a straw and took a sip. I immediately realized it was not. The barista stepped back to the pick up area with my drink in hand. I apologized, saying I had made a mistake. She huffed and sighed, then told me I needed to check the label next time. The mobile order I picked up and I have the same name. It was an honest mistake and I was taken aback by her reaction. I was the only customer waiting for a drink and the only female customer in the entire place to boot.
Now, understand that I’ve worked in retail and customer service for more than three decades. I know what good service looks like and I know what it looks like when you’re doing your best, but are tired at the end of a long shift. This felt a lot like a toxic crew leaning into a bad mood. I know that sounds harsh, but it happens.
Today isn’t going to keep me from returning, but I hope the management is able to glean a bit of useful information from...
Read moreWe frequent Starbucks at multiple locations and have typically had average experiences at this location but this time it was terrible and disappointing. For the first time ever, our two drinks cost $20 because add-ins were charged that were not supposed to be, which my husband immediately questioned at the window upon payment but was brushed off. While waiting in the parking lot for the second of the two drinks, my husband went inside to have the first drink fixed and explain that my espresso frappuccino was not supposed to have 2 extra shots or the 4 pumps of caramel brulee syrup and that it tasted terrible due to those unwanted add-ins on top of the caramel drizzle that I actually had requested. The unwanted add-ins were supposed to be added to my husband's drink rather than mine. The employees inside did not offer to remake the drink and did not apologize or seem concerned. I have managed restaurants for over 6 years and was shocked by their actions. Instead, they offered him either milk or coffee to "dilute" the extra add-ins. He came back to the car frustrated, and my drink was still far from what I had hoped for. Mistakes happen, we are all human and I understand that. At the same time, how you respond to those mistakes and make them right is very important in customer relations which did not seem to be a priority yesterday. Paying customers should receive the item that they...
Read moreThe worst Starbucks you could possibly visit. It looks new but the people there have no idea what they’re doing and they are very rude and embarrassing. I complained about my drinks being wrong guess they didn’t like my attitude even though I’ve complained about it for four days in a row but I am at fault even though I spend money every day there and they can’t even get the blonde espresso right but it’s our fault as customers for complaining because we don’t get what we pay for that gives them the right to refuse a service and embarrass you because they don’t know how to do their jobs I don’t really care to. No other location has a problem with my order but this one not sure what the issue is but I don’t think they should’ve even built this location maybe my money don’t matter but hopefully somebody else boycotts them too. There are too many locations for me to give my money to that want me there every morning and that will love to make my coffee right petty and I don’t care I pay for it and I want it made correct and if it’s not correct I’m going to say something about it and if you don’t like it that’s your...
