I had high hopes for this place, but my experience was disappointing. Despite reading previous reviews, I decided to give it a try and noticed it wasn’t busy on a Friday at 6 PM. The food was super bland and lacked flavor, suggesting that the previous reviews did have some truth. While the service was decent, the meal didn’t justify the $80 spent. I’ve seen responses to past reviews that defend the food, but I hope you take customer feedback seriously and make some changes. On a positive note, the patio is lovely, and everyone was friendly as we left. This place has a lot of potential and was once a busy spot; I’m not sure what has changed. Maybe there’s been a shift in ownership or management.
:::::Edit:::: . I ordered the chili rellenos, and I was surprised to find that it seemed to be made from canned chilis. Considering your restaurant’s focus on Tex-Mex cuisine, I expected a fresher, more authentic preparation. The difference between fresh and canned chili is quite noticeable.
My husband had the steak quesadilla. It appeared to be a tortilla with shredded cheese that was microwaved, and the steak also tasted microwaved and lacked seasoning. It reminded me of a quick meal I’d make at home for my son, not something I'd expect from a restaurant.
Both dishes are staples in Mexican cuisine. These both were fails. Let's be honest labor day weekend has nothing to do with why it...
Read moreLarge restaurant, very accommodating to a large crowd of 15 on a Sunday evening. Kid/family friendly. Clean, comfortable and inviting atmosphere. Menu seemed varied, not too large. I ordered a chicharron burrito and lemonade. Lemonade was refreshing and flavorful but a bit on the sweet side. I did not care for the burrito. It was too salty and the chicharron was overcooked. It was a very large portion, and did not look very appetizing. Others in my party really enjoyed their meals however. Our server was very pleasant and professional she was also very apt at serving large crowds. I have been here several times in the past and the food and service have always been good so I will be back. Next time I will inform the staff if my food is not to my liking and give them the opportunity to make it better. This restaurant is a well established venue and is worth trying again. On another note the restaurant provides non plastic straws and recyclable food containers for takeout. They are dog friendly and have a special doggy area on their patio. Wheelchair accessible and parking. Free...
Read moreI'm truly flabbergasted that this place is able to keep its doors open. It was absolutely the worst Mexican food I've ever had and the green chili has a weird off taste that I've never experienced before. Terrible ingredients cooked terribly.
One of our relatives opted out of dinner when they found out this was the chosen spot and I really wish I had followed suit.
Ordered the breakfast burrito for $19 only for the waitress to prompt if I wanted to add the only meat option (chorizo) for $2 additional. Absolutely disgusting. Eggs totally overdone, the chorizo had almost no taste except adding an unappetizing oil slick to the already awful burrito.
It seriously hurts my heart that this place is open and serving food when there are so many amazing places in Denver. Please go support anyone else that serves even moderately decent food and let this place die into oblivion.
Maybe the worst meal of my life. I ate like 4 bites and was also disgusted by the other meals served to our table....
