POV: You’re the reason we got that 5-star review 😎 #denverfood #indianrestaurantdenver #denver #indian #restaurant

Taste of India has been a good Indian Restaurant in the Denver are for about 13+ years and has been under new ownership since 2019. Mr. Beda who has been a chef here for the whole time is now the new owner. With the hard times during the pandemic, they have 7 family members and 3 employees running this place in the most efficient way possible. They offer dine in, take our and catering service There have been recent changes and a big initiative for the uplift with the interiors. New flooring, new counter tops and a great menu too. Got an opportunity to have a dine in experience, food, service and an extensive range of liquor options! After this visit, we did actually get a catered event organized and got a variety of appetizers ordered, the momos are very tasty and one of the quickest to get gulped down by the guests. Great chicken thigh kabab and chole tiki… with all the complimenting Chutneys! Mint, Tamarind, momo chutney!! They were efficient in delivering it in time for the event and the quality the service if far more improved! Took some time to meet and speak with Mr. Beda, and his wife and kids who support this whole revamp and uplift of this restaurant! Very down to earth people… both me and my wife had a great and a smooth experience with them and the guests loved the food! An experience we would love to have again when an opportunity allows! Give them a try!

I stopped by for some food, i usual order online but this was great to step into the restaurant and feel the vibe! I love the layout of the restaurant. The waitress was friendly and showed me a menu if I needed it, she put in everything correctly and I paid with card. They have one of those fancy machines that take card! They also have a rewards points you can sign up for to get $5 off your next purchase depending on your points. The food is simply delicious and it up there with one of my fav India restaurants when the other one is closed! And the staff is friendly. I always get the chicken tikka masala and the vegetables samosa is an appetizer to try! They are quick with their pick up orders as well. Check them out! And support local businesses! :)

I have ordered for carry-out from here 4 times, this being my 5th. I always get the same thing, 1 paneer tikka masala, 2 garlic naan no cilantro on the whole order. The food taste good, real indian taste to it without all the fake coloring to make it look spicy. My problem is the service, which is the same problem you see with the other reviews.

I pick up my order, go home and open it to find they have either given me the wrong thing or mixed up my order. My tikka masala was full of bell peppers (more bell peppers than paneer or sauce). I call and tell them it is wrong as it is not supposed to have bell pepper, and she tells me, "No my chef made special way, no coloring but only pepper for coloring". So I try and explain again how the order is incorrect and I mention how in place of paneer I was given a lot of bell pepper and I would just like the proper item. She tells me, "Come, I will take out bell pepper, add color and give back". I tell her how I do not want that same item but want my actual order instead and she proceeds to yell at me in her language, Hindi, which I understand. Just as a mention, I am of an indian ethnicity also. She yells that she hates serving all of "my type of indians" then yells "oh all gujarati people are like this, bad people". So I tell her I am just going to come and talk in person. I drive back 18 minutes to the restaurant.

I walk into the shop, with one family, which is more than I've ever seen and she proceeds to tell me I have eaten 20% of the masala, no mind the naan or anything else hadn't even been opened yet since I noticed the food was wrong. Then spends 10 minutes counting out all the paneer and telling me its all there, and I mention again that it's the fact that I was given the wrong item, or the item with bell peppers which shouldn't belong. She then starts yelling at me again in Hindi how my type of indians are all cheaters and she hates serving us. Then tells me that they need to run a business and all this stuff. I just tell her I want a refund because she offended me and "my type" of indians, and she tells me harshly that they will not give a refund. This had been 20 minutes since I have entered the store and she tells the person to go in the back and take out the bell pepper. I understand her, so I tell her I want a fresh one. The man tells the chef to make a fresh one then he sits and starts yelling at me about how I am the reason their business is bad. I tell them that I have ordered many times before and they could check their history if they wanted, and he yells at me from across the room, "I have never seen you in here in my life," when he has taken my order overtime. I just proceed to turn around and sit down at the table and wait because I do not want to cause trouble to make a scene for the patrons dining there. While I sit they proceed to yell at me more while I ignore them. The lady then gets on her cell phone in the middle table and starts having a LOUD conversation for the rest of the time I was there. This consisted of snorting, yelling and wet coughing.

She gets my order while still on the phone, hands it to me and starts yelling again, and I just walk out. I get home, has cilantro.. Later that night I had terrible stomach issues as well, but I am hoping it doesn't have to do with this situation altering the food somehow.

Because of this reason I won't go back and won't recommend it, while I somewhat liked the food, the owners are terrible human beings, and terrible at...

Been here twice. Lamb curry I ordered for dinner on day one was great but I was the only one in the restaurant. I soon found out why, the owners are a little pushy which didn't offset me too much because I can understand culture differences. The husband pushed me to review his place pretty hard after he heard I liked the food, he even tried to get me to download a critic app while I was eating, I resolved to after I ate there 3 times just to make sure it was a fair review. The second time I ate here, it was at lunch buffet. Most of the food looked semi-fresh, I asked it there was anything I could have to make my food more spicy and she said no. Later on during lunch I had an accident and the way she tried to resolve it is my reason for giving my 2 star review. I knocked over 2 little side dishes on the buffet line and they fell toff the ground and broke. She stared at the broken dishes with an angry expression that didn't completely change when she looked up at me. When her gaze fell upon me, I felt like I was going to get murdered. She later came up to me while I was eating and gave me the bill with another comment, "you broke 2 plates for you give a little extra when you pay." So my bill was 19 dollars and some change, I left her a 20 dollars bill because I was appalled at the customer service. When I left the wife chased me down in the parking loticket trying to get me to buy her 2 little rammekins. Needless to say, I won't be returning. Good food doesn't make up for shifty customer service and I feel like other reviewers here have the same attitude. Side note, place was not very clean; dust and dead bugs all over the window sill, bathrooms subpar, too dark to see...
