The only reason this place is getting two stars is because of their balcony and tacos. This place has so much potential, but really falls short. The service was terrible. After sitting there for 10 minutes (non-busy) we were finally approached. While ordering drinks, my girlfriend asked for a water. When we got our drinks, there was no water. When we ordered our food, my girlfriend asked for a water again, our server nodded, but still nothing. Upon the third time we asked for a water, he then decided to explain that we have to go up and get our own water at the other end of the patio.

While my girlfriend was getting her water, our server decided it would be a good idea to pour a bucket full of ice in the water jug. This caused water to spill all over my girlfriend, and he didn't even apologize.

My margarita glass had lipstick and other dirt on it, and when I requested an new drink, I just got a sigh.

Finally we got our food, which luckily was really good. The server came over after we were both done to finally ask if everything came out right ( he was busy taking shots behind the bar and watching soccer). After taking away our plates, he never asked if we wanted anything more or even brought over our check. We had to ask for that after 10 mins of waiting.

The only reason we might return to this place is because it's nearby and it has a nice patio, but this place could be a nice little gem if you step up...

Okay, this place used to be my favorite bar because they had great Mango Margaritas and its 5 minutes from my house. Last time was my birthday, because of COVID I called to check if I could make reservations (group of 3 ppl) and a rude lady told me they were not accepting any reservations, okay then, I got there early to be able to get a table and the woman who was helping us kept calling me “babe”, I mean, I don’t like it and most people don’t, it’s not professional at all and it sounds extremely fake and rude. The margaritas weren’t that good and taste like they added water to the juice, not to mention that they dont give you anything for your birthday (not even a shot, not even a taco). Then this man approached and my friends and I tried to be nice and talk to him but he wont stop talking and we needed our time to enjoy the celebration. Again, the two women working that day did nothing to help us, when I went close to the bar to ask her for a piece of paper and a pen she said extremely rudely “No, absolutely not” and not even listened to me. So far that was the worst experience I had and it was my birthday. I would not recommend and definitely not...

Have you ever found yourself in the mood to listen to Journey? This may not be the place for you.

I was minding my own business one night, enjoying some cocktails when I decided to take advantage of the karaoke machine. I played “separate ways” by Journey. Unfortunately, I picked the live track which is a quality song in its own right, but does not come close to the studio version.

As the live track concluded, I queued up the studio version for everyone (myself included) to enjoy. I heard an audible groan and someone say “this song again?”. Clearly they didn’t realize the difference between the two tracks. I shrugged it off and returned to my drink. Moments later, the song was cut short and skipped to the next one. No explanation or apology.

One moment I’m enjoying the sweet sound of Steve Perry’s effervescent voice, only to have it abruptly ended. The music continued, a mix of pop music and country. People went on with their lives. A sobering reminder of the harsh realities of life. My hard earned money on the...

This is my favorite local bar. Comfy and cozy but not quite a dive bar. Friendly, helpful staff and good beers on tap for fair prices. Their chicken nachos are to die for. They are fresh, homemade deep fried tortilla chips that are individually topped with shredded cheese, Pico de Gallo, jalapeños and served with a big spoonful of guacamole & sour cream. Definitely my favorite item on the menu. Their tacos & enchiladas are pretty good too. They also have a really great guacamole dip served with the homemade drop fried nachos. For fun you can play pool, a couple arcade games or use the jukebox. There is an upper patio that is nice on warm summer evenings and has a few heaters/fire pits in the fall and winter. For covid they have converted much of their parking lot into an extra extended patio with large wooden picnic tables & umbrellas. Overall a chill local bar I for sure recommend.

Food is surprisingly good for a college dive. Drinks are beer, margs, tequila, and mixed drinks, though service does rounds frequently, so your glass won’t stay dry for long. You will be attended to every five minutes, but that’s not a detriment. You'll get your booze and a burrito when you need it. Definitely check out the awesome rooftop (with its own bar!) on a nice day. It’s spacious, breezy, and the company is good. Again, the food is surprisingly good. Don't pass on it for a lunch option.

An absolute classic bar by DU’s campus. I have so many memories in this place. I can never forget the cheap drinks and their quality nachos/wings. Not all their food are winners but when it’s tasty, it’s delicious. If I had to be picky, it is a little worn down but that is what gives its charm. There is ample indoor and outdoor seating, especially when the second floor is open. I wanted to give this place a 5 star but I haven’t been to the roof and I must before I can fully evaluate.
