Stopped by this Wendy's on our way home. We went up to the drive thru speaker, there were no cars ahead of us, none behind us at that moment. Waited for a few minutes, no sound was coming through the speaker. Said "hello" a couple of times politely, nothing. Thought maybe the speaker wasn't working so we decided to pull around and get off the car to place our order. By this time, there were three cars behind us. As we pulled away, a voice came through the speaker but the next car had pulled into our place. We pulled around, saw that the line for the drive thru was moving quickly. Rather than get off, we got back in line. We once again pulled up to the speaker, once again, no answer. Again waited a few minutes....certainly longer than usual at any drive thru, politely said "hello". Again nothing. At this point, we're annoyed that three cars just went through the line rather quickly and here we pull up AGAIN and now no one answers. We decide to take our business elsewhere and pull away. As the car behind us begins to pull up, we could hear a voice come through the speaker!!! As we drive around to leave, there are three female employees standing at the window laughing and giggling with no cars at the window being waited on. Read moreWent Saturday night at 12:40 -they close at 1 am. Ordered in the mobile app and had deals applied to my order. Watched the car in front of me place their order just fine. When I told them I had a mobile order it went silent. Then after some prompting, a different person asked for the name on the order, then even longer silence. I ask if everything is okay and the guy tells me that they are unable to make my order. I ask why and after stumbling over his words, he just goes quiet without giving me a reason. Then they say they'll refund my purchase (they didn't). I ask again what the problem is and silence. I ask if they're closed and he says yes. Weirdest experience ever.
Do they not want to honor deals in mobile orders? The rewards points weren't returned either. I don't even think I'll bother calling management in the morning because I'm sure that's where this behavior and this store's practices are taught. Read moreRed flag number one was seeing a worker on the line fixing himself something to eat with NO GLOVES! Literally grabbing patties, toppings etc barehanded. Someone comes to take my order and I ask, “He won’t be making my food, right?” They said no and that he’s been on the window taking orders all night. Without a doubt this guy hasn’t washed his hands in at least 1-2 hours so why is on the line making food?! I watched him move from the line, wipe his hands on his pants with his greasy, dirty shirt on, fiddle with the register and just go about his duties without ever washing his hands. I asked for a sandwich with two very simple mods, add onion, add pickles. Of course they couldn’t do that. Managers need to stop trying to be cool with their employees and actually manage a well ran establishment. Whoever the owner is needs to clean house. Keep the good, throw away the bad cause they are costing you money as I won’t be back and if you’re too lazy of an owner to do that then I pray your profit suffers. Do better...
