Their sign says masks are required. That's great. But why take off my mask to show my face for the ID? That defeats the purpose of wearing a mask if you take it off indoors, doesn't it? Regardless, the sign should also say you're required to leave your dignity outside and submit to the authority of the worst budtender I've ever encountered. I have never been treated so poorly by a store employee anywhere. He was rude and aggressive and we left. He said I could not talk to my partner, who came into the store with me (after we respectfully entered the lobby one by one). Then he said I had to stand across the store and yell at her, if I wanted to talk to her, but we could not discuss what we want to buy, and if one of us was not buying something, that we had to leave. I told him he was being aggressive and unreasonable, because he was raising his voice and was acting like he owned me. He said it is CDC guidelines that among other things, I cannot talk to someone I am with, and if one of us was not buying something we had to leave. Mr BS, you can tell me whatever you want, but that is laughably false. There are hundreds of other cannabis stores who don't employ self-righteous aggressive employees who seem to be against the idea of friendly customer service. We walked down the street to Altitude and they were super nice. They allowed us to walk into the store and talk to each other like normal civilized human beings, buy some things, and walk out. It was a normal experience. I am happy to never return to your oasis of aggression again.
Response to your response: Oasis, you are making excuses for your rude employee(s) in a very polite manner. Apology not accepted. No other store has ever asked to remove a facemask (Including other alcohol and cannabis sales I have experienced) and I should have left before I met your terribly rude budtendender. No other store has a more rude employee. He doesn't know what he's talking about... Did you read what I said? He told us that because of cdc guidelines we cannot talk to each other in your store. He's an idiot who obviously doesn't know what the job of the cdc is. I'm not going to shop in a store where I am told I have to stand on the other side of the store and not talk to my partner. There is no reasonable explanation for this. If you want to keep more customers during this hard time for everyone, get rid of your aggressive employees who tell me I cannot talk to my partner. I know the laws and understand you are trying to comply with them, but there is no reason to have people try to enforce them with the attitude of a fascist dictator. Check your employees tone if you want customers to return. There are hundreds of other stores selling the same stuff, why would I come back?...
Read moreAgain. Don’t go here if you’re people of color. If you enjoy being treated rude by their armed security guard before you even get in the building, you like to get insulted and treated like you’re a criminal, then this is your place to go. We were literally checking to see if we have enough cash to go in the store and my wife decided not to go inside. My wife and I were searching the car if we have cash and she decides not to go inside she doesn’t want to buy anything. the security guard finds this “suspicious” he is watching us and posturing to us. Said if something is exchanged we can’t go inside. We didn’t “exchange” anything. We have a shared bank account anyway lmao. I even talked to the staff and got my wife went inside to explain what they saw and they continue to treat us like garbage. The security is literally discriminating people of color. Why did the security make a decision like this calling customers criminals? We have IDs ready and these staff and security just said manager’s decision.
I went to another store on Yale called the Lodge and they were very happy to help me, take my money and make it an easy experience. Small, local and friendly there. Don’t waste your time at this mega store with no customer concern. I do not like to be insulted to spend my money at any place of business. I'm unarmed and not a criminal. Y’all should find someone else to do a better job since this is not the first time happened at this location. We have shopped here many times before but we won’t...
Read moreUnprofessional and untrustworthy. This is listed as Evans, but I went to the 44th store. Purchased a half ounce of high-end 30% weed online. I would have bought an ounce, but it specifically would not let me saying there was only 1 left. That sets the standard expectation that I would get a sealed container of the weed like at every other store I have ever gone to. I get to the store and they give me a number and say they will call me. By the time I get to the counter, the guy is there with a clear, unlabeled ziploc bag of weed. What should be the normal official sealed bag of weed is completely empty and never been used and is laying on the counter flat, but it does already have the sticker you would expect from a sealed, tested bag of weed on it. He dumps the clear baggie into a wooden bowl on a scale. The bowl clearly has residue from prevous transactions throughout the day. I, of course, cannot see any weight read from the scale. He then dumps the now contaminated weed back into the clear, unlabeled ziploc baggie, and then puts the baggie in the official, what should be an already sealed bag, with the sticker on it. And then puts the new, sold today sticker on it. I don't know if I got the correct high-end weed or not. It sure doesn't look like the very crystally stuff I expect from high percentage weed. I guess I'll find out. All I know is that I am never going back to this...
