Donuts Town — Restaurant in Denver

This place is absolutely amazing. Do yourself a favor and support this small business putting out a fantastic product. For the price, the only thing I would like to see is an option to take home a nice (and very Denver priced) donut home not looking so damaged. I bring them as gifts to my boyfriend and neighbor. I’m always embarrassed by the presentation. I just tell them the taste makes up for it 🤣 Next time, I’ll ask for a box. With 4 HUGE donuts that are literally still warm from the oven, a box would have been ideal service. Anyway, I can’t take any stars away from the recipes they are using so hopefully they read this and step up the presentation. Also, my donut was too warm to be frosted. This place used to be a Winchell's but now it's cheap imitation. The first two times I went in I was disappointed by dry, maybe day old donuts so I stopped going. Yesterday I thought I would give them the benefit of the doubt so I went back in to get some cinnamon crunch donuts. If I'm going to pay $2.00 a donut I want to get the donuts that I want, not what the person behind the counter wants to give me. When I specifically asked for the 3 cinnamon crunch donuts in the front row the man behind the counter grabbed 2 instead of 3 and they weren't the ones I specified. When I said that I wanted the 3 donuts in front he looked at me as if he didn't understand English and said, "cinnamon". After trying to explain that I wanted the 3 cinnamon crunch donuts in the front a couple more times only to get the response, "cinnamon!" I walked out. I won't...

Raised Glazed donuts are more 4 star but service was 5 star+

It's a converted Winchell's that's not particularly easy to find. No one was there when I arrived at 8am, I wasn't sure it was open at first.

I would give the raised glazed donuts a 4, they are a little on the denser side, the recipe needs a little tweaking. However, the owner/ man working there is very generous. We had a miscommunication and I got a few of a different variety than requested. When I inquired about changing out the wrong ones, he gave me a few more of the correct ones for free for the trouble. Thanks!! All donuts were good, just need to do a recipe tweak on the raised to get the dough less dense.
