King's Palace — Restaurant in Denville

Their food is great, can’t take that away from them. After 5-6 great orders, we had a terrible experience and will not be ordering again.

We placed an order online (as we always have). The site said approximately 51 minutes. After waiting a little over an hour we called to check on our order.

They told us it would be AT LEAST another half hour, and blamed us for being too far from them. They said we need to call for delivery.

This was the first anybody mentioned to us that this was a problem. After double checking, their web site DOES have a big note in red about having to call if you’re more than 5 miles away, and we are 5.4 miles from them. But, I gotta say, those facts don’t make me want to order...

Kings Palace is our favorite Chinese Food in the Rockaway/Denville area. Everyone inside was very kind and there were a lot of regulars flowing in and out on a Wednesday. My wife and I ordered General Tsaos Chicken and Beef&Broccoli combos and they were both superb! I’m a fried rice fanatic and this one was my favorite. The chicken was crispy and great and good portions throughout. Also the best egg roll we’ve had in a long time. Overall great vibe and convenient parking in the back. I placed an online order and decided to call the restaurant after about 75 minutes to check on it. I was told that they were going to cancel the order, as they couldn't 'get it to me fast', (I am located in Rockaway). It's possible that there was a misunderstanding, but in all fairness it's been well over an hour and I was just checking. The person didn't even apologize before he told me he was canceling it.
