Mo’Pweeze Bakery — Restaurant in Denville

I'd love to have given 5 stars because the wedding cake, cupcakes and cookies I ordered were absolutely delicous and beautiful. Everyone was raving about these desserts at our wedding. However, after communicating with Christine directly via email I found out that they couldn't deliver the items on Sunday my actual wedding day. We worked that out and I was to pick everything up on Saturday between 12-1. Christine confirmed this time herself saying "perfect."

On Saturday at 11:30 we were on our way to pick the items up and I received a phone call asking if I could pick my order up at 4 PM. I told the girl that we were on our way and that Christine confirmed that my order would be ready to be picked up between 12-1. The girl said that they were told 4 pm which didn't make sense because if that was the case why did she call and ask me to come at 4?? She put me on hold and then came back to tell me that they needed until at LEAST 4 PM and that they closed at 7 but some of them would be there cleaning up so if I came after 7 that would be fine. I told her to call me when the order was ready and we would come then. Well, I finally got a phone call at 6 PM saying that my order would be done at 6:30. I had emailed Christine right after I received the first phone call at 11:30 AM. I expressed how unhappy I was. We had rehersal dinner plans that night and this had completely ruined our plans.

As of today, I have NEVER gotten a response from the owner, Christine. No apologies from anyone....nothing. This was a $500 order and it was for my wedding. I really would have expected this to be a priority. I'm completely disappointed with the lack of communication and response after messing up and...

If there is ZERO star I would do it. first of all, I order a cake from this place for my son first birthday and it was a day before his birthday and she charged us an extra money $10 for that which I didn't mind at all I paid the price she said BUT I DIDN'T GET WHAT I WANT WHAT I PAID FOR.

1. I ordered a funded cake and she charged us $40 for a funded cake that what we paid for .... what we get is a regular cake have a funded top only and none of the characters is outstanding as we order it's just printed pic which is way cheaper so we paid an extra money for nothing .she said that she gonna charge us $10 + $40 to do the funded cake in a short time.
2. this is the worst cake I ever taste before it doesn't taste like a cake it's like a piece of sugar and it's hard and not fresh I actually throw most of it. none of my guests eat it everyone took a small piece and couldn't finish it because it's NASTY. If it's something to be returned I would return it.
3. SO....SO EXPENSIVE and doesn't worse the money I paid on it. I used to go on a place in Bayonne it's far but it is much much better in taste and price it's like less than the half of the price I paid here. I paid $140 for this NASTY CAKE. I didn't go to pick it up with myself I sent on of my friends and he doesn't know what we ordered so he just grab it and come to the party if it's me I wouldn't take it, I didn't expect all of this gonna happen we paid the money before we saw anything in the day we made the order we trusted them but nobody should...

1. The taste of the cake was horrible. It was dry, texture was like bread, frosting was overly sweet, there was not enough filling , the filling got lost in the cake, I ordered and chocolate and vanilla cake with raspberry and strawberry filling all I can taste was the frosting and cake. Really left everyone disappointed and gives a bad name to vegan desserts ( my family is not vegan, they took one bite and immediately hated it, so did I)
2. The cake I bought was supposed to serve 20 people, this cake was wayyyyy too small to be enough for 20 people, although the cake was so bad that there were 10 of us and it relatively stayed in tact because nobody ate it.
3. The cake I bought was $115 that was only big enough for 10 people , NOT 20 like they said. If I liked this cake I could've eaten it myself , but I did not like it , at all. I honestly can say I make better vegan chocolate and vanilla cake , which is moist and delicious, this Is the first year I decided to purchase a cake. I am highly disappointed because people are being scammed for a product that is this bad.
4. I had to drive 40 minutes to get to this bakery. No hate whatsoever, I am just so shocked that they sell a product so bad for such a high price.

Please save your money, try Papa Ganache , they have a bakery opening in Cranford , very excited to try more of their...
