What was supposed to be a special night for Valentine’s day turned out to be an unorganized disaster.
We get to the restaurant, and are seated quickly. We place an order for our drinks and put in for an appetizer. The appetizer came quick.
Over an hour later, after trying to get ahold of a waiter for at least 45 minutes while they acknowledged us but were to overwhelmed to address anything, we finally are able to ask what’s going on with the drinks? We’ve seen other tables order fulfilled, who just placed their drink orders and we got a “we are terribly sorry”. So you forgot?
After an hour and a half of waiting, our food arrived. Just want to note, the Mofongo? That’s not Mofongo, but I will let that go. I’m halfway into my burger and I chewed into a raw piece of bacon. We called our server over who once again apologized, and another hostess came over and said “We are not usually like this”. I would truly, hope not.
Towards the end of this experience, I was comped a free drink, with no apology from the manager because he was slammed behind the bar not knowing what was happening.
Things happen, and I can only extend the benefit of doubt so far.
If you’re hosting an event for a major holiday, be prepared, be ready, and be consistent or Do Not Host It.
This wasn’t about trying to score a free meal or to bash to what seems an upcoming restaurant in the area. You need to tighten up.
I did not see the reflection of a 4.9 star restaurant. It felt like barely a 2.5 star restaurant and that still may be too generous.
Would not recommend this place for any type of celebration or...
Read moreSo happy there's a new restaurant close by. The restaurant is beautiful! The decor and environment are so calming. I love near the bathrooms, there's hanging plants from the ceiling! The restaurant and restrooms were super clean. The staff were amazing! They were so kind and attentive.
We did the happy hour menu - we ordered the fried calamari, which I do not like but wanted to try, and it was delicious! Along with the fuego sauce. It was crispy and not chewy at all. Also ordered the beef sliders on brioche buns. They were tasy as well! We also got the pork belly - tostones, red onion, tomato, cilantro, and lime juice . I personally did not enjoy this, but my bestie's did.
We had such a great time and will definitely be back for a...

On A Positive Note: Friendly and attentive service.
I decided to try a new spot for happy hour. I wasn’t very hungry but I ordered calamari- it was hot and fresh but I prefer a hard fry. My mom enjoyed the empanada,
The sangria was flavorful but not as full as I’m used to, perhaps due to the soda. Nonetheless, it was tasty and I would order it again over the margarita.
Vanessa was very welcoming and friendly. She informed me that they offer a free Salsa lesson at 9:30 p.m. I hope to give it a try next week.
The Verdict: A nice place, great service and free parking after 5:00 p.m. The only reason si gave the good 4 stars is because I didn’t order much. I’ll update the review on my next visit.
