KFC — Restaurant in Derby

I arrived here around 9:30 to pick up a delivery order. The restaurant was still open but they had locked the doors so no one could get in? I tried knocking for attention and the employee inside tried waving me into the massive drive thru line, which was totally ridiculous. Delivery drivers don’t have the time to do that, we need to be able to pick up orders when we arrive.

If you’re going to close your dining room early, then you need to shut off delivery orders. It is completely unacceptable to send us there for orders that cannot be picked up. This wasted over 30 minutes of my time, having to contact Uber support to get the order canceled after driving there for nothing. So I was at KFC on Pershing drive in Derby because I like the buffalo wings sauce. I tried to get a buffalo wings and the old guy ask me if I want it dip in buffalo sauce . Then he ask me if I wanted mild, or spicy. I said that is why they called it buffalo wings because it's dip in the buffalo sauce. The buffalo sauce is spicy. Then he showed me a chicken strip that he wanted to put buffalo sauce. I said I wanted an original chicken in buffalo sauce. He argued with me that there is no such thing. No original chicken. I did not want to argue with him so I just left. This rating should be a minus rating, but there is no way to put minus rating so I gave a one star. Every now and then, you walk into a place expecting the usual—and instead, you get something great. That was my experience at the KFC in Derby. The dining room was clean, spacious, and updated with those classic KFC red benches that were actually pretty comfortable. I ordered the $7 box with chicken tenders, mashed potatoes and gravy, a biscuit with buttery spread, and the apple turnover bites for dessert. Everything came out fast, hot, fresh, and just right.
