Because this buffet had the Umi name I assumed it was like the other two umi buffets I have been to, where they also have hot pot options and the have an assortments of Asian drinks included in the prices. This was not the case at all I can say they do offer boba but those drinks are not included in the buffet pricing, however they do have a hibachi station in the back. Unlike the other Umi locations they also do not offer hotpot and ramen bowls. Their prices are reflective in these differences because their lunch buffet is $13.99 whereas the other Umi locations lunch buffets is $21.99. So if you don’t want hot pot, ramen, or the expanded drink offerings and are looking for your standard buffet this is a nice spot. I went during the weekend so they did have dinner prices other than what I believe was a seafood boil the offerings reminded me more of a lunch menu

Tried the new UMI Chinese Buffet, and overall, the food was fairly tasty. The selection of dishes is about a 3/5—not the most extensive, but decent. However, the biggest issue was the replenishment of trays. Many of them sat empty for an extended period, which was frustrating. But the most disappointing part? There’s no baby-changing station in the restroom. I honestly don’t understand how a new business can open without such a basic necessity. It’s a major oversight and something they really need to fix.

Delicious food for the price. I paid $18 per person during dinner hours to get as much food as we wanted. There was a lot of variety and I especially loved the freshly rolled sushi. Service was great for how busy the place was. One thing I do wish they did better was replenishing the trays faster. They were pretty busy so a lot of trays sat empty for long periods of time, which was frustrating. Overall, I'd definitely come back. Great place to grab a bite with family.

Went to try this restaurant around 1pm for the “lunch buffet” which was supposed to be 13.99 for every adult. It was 3 adults including myself, we got seated immediately and the atmosphere was nice. Music was good, and overall clean as expected for a grand opening restaurant.

Service was as expected for a buffet the only thing the server really did was seat us and refill our drinks.

Food was average for a buffet, not a big space to have a lot of selection but variety of food was there. They had a selection of seafood dishes, beef dishes and chicken dishes to choose from also some dessert items and fruit but the quality of the food was average tbh not overly good or bad at all. Fruit we got wasn’t very sweet.

Now we had only been eating there maybe about 25 minutes when the server brought us a check without us alerting her at all( there’s a sign that says we have 2 hours to enjoy our meal off peak hours). We felt like we were being rushed as we saw other patrons that had been there longer but were still allowed to eat.

Now with the price we were charged the dinner buffet even though we went there before 3:30pm, we also got charged for our initial drink so our total came out to about 70$ and some change.

Honestly the food was not worth the price in my opinion, and we got incorrectly charged which I only realized because I decided to write this review.

Will I go back… probably not, if I do I will make sure what they charge me and to see if the food quality/taste has improved until...

As soon as I entered through the main door, I was hit by a strange stench that I couldn't identify. I wasn't sure if the person leading the way and handling the payment was the owner, but she was very friendly and had a smile on her face. However, the waitress inside weren't as friendly and didn't have much of a smile. They were also not very proactive in clearing the dishes, especially they pretend not to notice the empty cups and never asked if we wanted refills. The food options were limited and the taste was just so-so. The hot and sour soup was particularly awful. I couldn't tell if it was the soup pot or the bowl that wasn't cleaned properly, but it had a strong smell of detergent. Not long after I got home, my throat became dry and sore. I've never had such a bad experience in any restaurant. I really don't understand how a newly opened store could be like this. I was happy at first thinking that this store was closer to me so I didn't have to go to Milford or other far buffet, but I didn't expect it to be so disappointing.

Also, I've read a lot of reviews, and I can see that a lot of them are written by their own people or by people they hired. You have to know that fake reviews are useless. Others will know if it's good after they eat it. It's useless if you don't work hard to make good food and good services. Let’s see if there is a chance to change this review, I’m still willing to give the new...

First and last time here. Days old food! All food was cold or lukewarm at best. ZERO FLAVOR. They leaned on the bland side too hard. They played it too safe. Very limited selection/options. I had one small plate of food and couldn't get through it. The water and soy sauce was the best part. I had to indulged on the cherry sauced bananas to try and get my money's worth. The pineapple was flavorless as was the mandarin oranges. Oh a weird smell also in the restaurant. Couldn't place my finger on it. Also the bench seats.. made for plus size people and those of us who overindulge being that it is a buffet but man of man is the table about a foot away from you. I had to sit on the edge of my seat to reach my plate. And they're angled down towards backrest. Just awkward positioning. Very expensive for only 2 of us and one having water only. 44 plus dollars! The one in orange which we frequent is MUCH better. Skip this place until they pay attention to their ratings and reviews. Money better spent at another place trust. Never been more disappointed...
