I love Cats, hands down some of the best coffee I've ever had, but when I went in yesterday there was a new girl being trained. She was very nervous and SO SWEET. I can't tell you the amount of times she apologized for not fully knowing what she was doing yet. Again, very very sweet girl. All of this to tell you that the woman training her stood at the end of the bar talking to someone she clearly knew and said loud enough for just about anyone in the shop to hear "We hired someone new and you see how that's going." I had been ordering from door dash and I just wasn't getting the drink I had in mind. I was looking for somethin on the lines of that vanilla bean drink that's at Starbucks but maybe with a twist if it tastes good. I told the berista at Cats what I needed and she got to work. I really want to like this place, I really do, because I want to support local business and I also don't want to drive all the way to base for an iced latte, but they charge an EXTRA $3 for oat milk. I get that there is an upcharge, but never in my life have I seen an upcharge of more than $1 for alternative milk. One medium iced mocha with oat milk is $8.74. I've never seen anywhere charge that...
