Troy’s is a nice, clean dining option in an area that doesn’t have a whole lot of clean-eating types of restaurants. The staff is always very polite and attentive, the sweets are tasty but not too greasy/oily, and the smoothies, overall, are great and full of whole ingredients.
Where I think Troy’s could improve:
The Derry location doesn’t have price transparency. You have to ask how much different things cost, which is a bit silly in 2024.
On a couple of occasions I have gotten fairly large/hard chunks of what I think are peanut shells in my smoothie. This may be part of the price of consuming raw ingredients, but I wanted to warn others as some of the pieces have been very hard and are likely capable of cracking a tooth.
The burrito (which I had at the Londonderry location) can be a little too sloppy/messy. If you’re like me and you don’t like burritos drenched in sauces because you think it kind of ruins the flavor (and structure) of the burrito, make sure to order with light/no aioli, guac, and...

I usually wear hearing aides but didn't have them on during that visit, so if it was loud for me I can only imagine how loud the volume actually was. I had a really difficult time communicating with the gal at the counter because of it. She apologized for the music's volume however she didn't turn it down. My bowl was made quickly and was fabulous as usual but geez, it was not a pleasant visit. I get it, music motivates me to clean too, but could they maybe have waited the 15 minutes until they closed to play it so...
Read moreI’ve been wanting to try Troy’s for a long time now and finally popped into Troy’s Fresh Express today. The woman at the register was super nice and very helpful. The menu was easy to navigate and the board on the wall was big and easy to read. I ordered a scramble bowl with hash browns and fresh avocado. It’s so yummy! The hash browns are surprisingly good and still have texture despite being under the scramble. I also purchased whoopie pies (dairy free, yay!). Having a dairy allergy it’s nice to know I could pop into Troy’s and find plenty to eat. My only negative is that the coffee was weak - but that’s not a dealbreaker for me. Great...
