China Garden — Restaurant in Derry

Very disappointed in this place. I can't say how good the food was, as by the time I got it, it was cold and congealed, and mostly inedible. The General Tso's chicken was fine, cold but edible, and I'd suggest that, as it seemed fairly flavorful.

My one star rating is for the hassle that was receiving my food. I called and placed the order at 9PM on a Wednesday night, and was told it would be about 45 minutes. I should have taken that as a sign to skip delivery and do pick up, as it is less than a 10 minute drive to the restaurant, but I had had a long day at work.

At 10:06PM, I called back asking about where the delivery person was, and was told very briskly that they'd be there any minute. At 10:30PM, I called again, and was informed they had sent the driver to the wrong address and needed my correct address, having confused Warner Hill Road with Walnut Hill Road. I finally got my food at 10:45PM, a full hour and 45 minutes after placing the order.

Again, I can't really comment on the food, as it was too cold and starting to congeal by the time I got it, but the customer service was absolutely horrendous, and I feel really ripped off having had to pay full price for food I didn't even get to...

We’ve tried to find good Chinese around here for a while now, but after being disappointed we usually go up to Manchester when we have the craving. However, sometimes you just want something quick and close without sacrificing taste. I tried this place for lunch craving lo mein, I got a plate that includedit. I ordered online, quick and easy. It was ready quickly and the staff was friendly, but more importantly the lo mein was great! Out of the 5 items in my lunch my only complaint is that the crab Rangoon was too well done. I would still give the Rangoon another chance though assuming it’s not...

NOT THAT GOOD!! The prices are reasonable compared to other places around here and the portions were good however what I ordered was not so good. I've ordered here on 3 different occasions hoping it would be better but it wasn't and I always order the same thing. So that being said the Chicken Fingers have a ton of batter and very little chicken. The Crab Rangoons have good flavor but they were cold. The meat in the Peking Raviolis is very mushy and the Pork Rried rice looked yummy but it was very bland and I had to add duck sauce for flavor. So for me this will be the last time I go there.
