I love McD's but I will never return to this location after my experience yesterday. At 1:45pm on Dec 4, 2009, I decided to treat a co-worker to lunch so we went to this location. We pulled into the drive thru which was backed up and moving slowly. We finally got to the place where you place the order and no one acknowledged us for quite awhile. Then a voice came on that was very unfriendly, "Can I help you..." I placed my order which never came onto the screen and the person gave me my total and didn't bother to say thank you or anything. As I said, very unfriendly.
Pulling to the first window, the guy ahead of us was paying and they gave him our total so there was a lot of confusion at that point. He pulls up to window #2 and we pay for ours. As expected, the person was not pleasant at all. Too busy carrying on with co-workers to be bothered with customers. We pay and move up behind the guy in front of us.
At window #2, we see the guy ahead get handed two large drinks which get dropped onto the ground. Not sure who's fault that was but honestly I would be shocked if it wasn't the worker's fault. They give him more drinks and he moves on. We pull up and this person (also very unfriendly) tries to give me something I didn't order. I said that isn't mine and she barks back at me, "What did you order." I told her and she gets an attitude about it. She walks away for a minute and comes back and says, " Your order was given the the guy ahead of you. Pull up to the line and your order will be out in a minute." That's it. No apology for their screw up or anything else. One of the most unpleasant people I've dealt with at a McDonald's. So we pull up. I'm getting really angry at this point. I give them a specific period of time and if they weren't out with our food, I was going in to raise hell. They come out just before I'm getting ready to go in and the lady hands me the food/drinks and says, "sorry about that," mumbles something and walks away.
Thanks to their carelessness and lack of professionalism, we were late getting back to work. My entire lunch break was spent sitting in that drive thru. I didn't get to eat my lunch at all.
I have had bad experiences at McDonalds restaurants before but this goes far beyond them all. These workers didn't care in the least about what they were doing. They were too busy carrying on with each other. At least two of these workers needs to be fired. Worker at Window #1 and worker at Window #2. Read moreI was under the impression that when you use the mobile curbside ordering that they would bring my food to me. Apparently that is not the case as this location. There was some sort of glitch that showed I placed the order for in-store and when I didn't come forward they just set it aside and said oh well. Meanwhile I was waiting in the spot that I checked into. They never doubled checked or anything. I eventually went in. They just shrugged at me. I specifically ordered curbside to try to forgo the typically long drive-thru line and not have to waddle into the restaurant at 9 months pregnant. All I got was an I'm sorry, but we don't check outside unless it says curbside, which is what I placed my order for. The manager Josh completely dismissed me and grabbed the other manager, but then interrupted me while I was speaking with her. I believe her name is Shelly(?). Over all a terrible experience and I only received a refund when I demanded it and told them they could keep the food. If I didn't go in, they never would have brought me my food. Oh they offered me a glass of water because I'm pregnant. What the hell? They ruined my day with their response. All they had to do was check to see if the car that had been sitting in the curbside spot was the order that they set aside. Things happen, but to tell me 'oh well your order came in as mobile and you weren't in here and we don't check outside.' it will be a very long time before I go to this location, if I ever go to this...

I rarely eat fast food. I will as a treat from my normally organic diet. I normally would say nothing, should I have nothing nice to say. But there are times when you just have to say something because it would just be completely wrong not to. I have never been treated so badly from start to finish as this McDonalds in Des Peres 12120 Manchester Rd. I know it would just be wrong not to pre warn any future patriot for this McDonalds and their consumer dollars. Not only was my order incorrect but I was asked to move up as if they were going to speedily correct the situation. I was to be futher insulted by a young adult with no name tag who was trying to tell me what I ordered. As if I didn't know... Now mind you this after I waited twelve minutes in their pull up spot. Mind you this is after my first phone call to the manager from the car. Yes I called again four minutes later for a problem that was has not been corrected yet sitting in the same spot. The service and attitude was of such a poor quality, that I began to worry about the food they were preparing for me to eat. I will make sure to never ever stop at this McDonalds, not even for their facilities.
