My husband and I just left here. I ordered a pancake with hash browns with cheese and onion in it as well as the special which was the fried chicken breast with 3 sides for 7.25. The breakfast was perfect the lunch was just blah very bland sides. Mac and cheese mashed potatoes and spinach. .. my food was cold and usually I make a big deal about cold food because I only eat my piping hot. Luckily my husband was willing to switch with me since for whatever reason his wad piping hot.. I also ordered the sweet tea for the drink. It was weak lacking tea flavor and not really sweet. Again I didn't complain.. at check out I asked for a to go root beer and the Mexican chick Daniella refused to give me one since I originally ordered tea she said I couldn't get something different because soda cost more than tea 2.85 vs 2.35. I offered to pay the 50 cents difference and she said no you'd have to pay the entire 2.85. And then offered me the tea to go and I declined.. as the other reviews mentioned these people are not friendly or informative unless you're a regular. No smiles or friendly service.. I know that Daniella just made that mess up about the drinks but it's fine. I don't have to trade my money with them anymore. Food is just blah.... besides...
Read moreI'm not sure what happened today but this was the WORST two meals I've ever purchased at Acapulco's. Date 09.26.2024 @ 1:45 pm.
We've enjoyed going to and eating food at this Acapulco for over 25 years, however, lately the taste of their food has changed drastically. Today's chicken fried steak was not seasoned and partially cooked (rushed). The lima beans were burnt. The green bean casserole seemed to have been made from the week's leftover food materials. Green beans, mushroom soup, with shredded cheese tossed on top. This was like something my 8 year old nephew would make.
The beef tip plate has no onions, no seasoning, just cooked beef and inseasoned gravy.
Yes, I'm a bit irritated because I count on places like Acapulco to help feed my elderly and I'll family/friends that live in the area a quick BUT WELL COOKED and TASTY meal.
Lately, we have to time it just right (not too early and not too late) to get quality fish dinner on Fridays or Saturday.
This is not the same Acapulco of the past. This makes me sad.
I hope someone in the Acapulco original family managers sees this review and makes the improvements that are needed. This place has loyal customers like myself but we need you to do...
Read moreSomeone suggested this place to me. She says she's been a customer for fifteen years. I've passed it for years, but never gave it a thought. I'll definitely visit again. The cashier was extremely patient with me. I'm a picky eater normally. But my first time visiting a place, I can sometimes get on my own nerves with my own questions. The young lady was pleasant and answered all of my questions. I even changed my order twice. But she never batted an eye. I chose the fajita chicken salad. The quality of ingredients and the amount of food were both good. The prices are not expensive at all. I had my salad to go. I'm also that person who always has a special order. They fulfilled the order just as I requested. They have TexMex, diner favorites, sandwiches, meat and veggie plates, salads, appetizers AND breakfast. I'll definitely be visiting to try...
