Flamz Pizzeria — Restaurant in Detroit

My elderly neighbor informed me that this restaurant has a food outreach program, which is amazing. I signed up for my neighbor Monday and went to pick up the order today at 2pm. Not only did I leave without any food, the customer service was extremely poor. The young lady asked to see the text message verifying the order. I went to my car in the poring rain to get my phone and provide the text. She glances over it then ask multiple times for my name and number to verify the pick up. She stated the wifi was terrible but I was willing to wait. After 10 mins of waiting, she says “I don’t see your name so there’s nothing I can do”. I asked to speak with the manager and she then states, “Why?!, he’s going to tell you the same thing I just told you”. I really wanted to tell her how rude that statement was but I just asked again for her manager. The manager comes and states, “Yeah, if she can’t find you in the system, the boss don’t get paid”. So not only does the text verification I received and showed them means nothing but I could only imagine if someone comes in who relies on these meals just for the employees to give poor customer service and turn them away because there’s a glitch on their end. I never ate here but due to the poor customer service, I definitely wouldn’t. I also asked for the owner contact information and was denied that right so hopefully he fixes the wifi, the tablet used, and initiates a customer service- inservice for his current employees. High disappointed and needless to say I used my money to purchase my neighbor a meal from another...

So, I went, hoping that it would be as good as the reviews. Here was my experience.... Went in, atmosphere is OK, but dark, as far as lighting. Remember this point. Went to the counter and the young lady working the counter had no greeting. Hmm, ok, in still hungry. I was asking alot if questions, finally sh pointed to the menu. I asked if the food was good. She didn't say anything, but the cook did, he was nice. He kinda took over from there. Got the pizza and salad. Was going to get a piece of cake, but it had mold on it. Remember the dim lighting? Yeah, I thought it was Birthday cake. When the young lady was making my pizza,I saw her lips moving. She was counting. I get it, I used to make pizza too. We usually just counted the peperonis. Not in this case. She counted the pieces of ham, peperonis, sausages, and the black olives. Yes, I said it, the black olives. I asked her about it, she said she had to count everything. Ok. So, I get my pizza. It was good hot. I think I was so hungry, I threw down a couple of slices, and the crust was perfect. The only thing, is after 30 minutes you can taste what was in the oven before your pizza. Couldn't eat after that. I'm sure this place was good at first, but if they haven't changed up the small details; mute front counter worker,moldy desserts and burnt tasting food on the bottom of a perfect crust! Not...

So this evening my father decided to switch up our pizza decision and go to Flamz Pizzeria. So we always like trying different pizzas, but tonight was different. He went to pick up the pizza, everyone was so nice, when they told him his pizza would be ready in 10 minutes they weren't kidding. So he brought home the pizza I was confused because it wasn't our usual pizza place, however, I opened up the box I saw seafood, I frowned like what is this, I opened the other box I saw the thinnest crust, just as crispy as it could be. So I went in for this skeptical seafood pizza. OMG. It was absolutely delicious, seafood tasted fresh, crust crispy with just a hint of garlic taste, everything seasoned to perfection. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm normally just a traditional pizza person but WOW. And the meat and pepperoni pizza was so good, the thin crust was just right.
