In a nutshell, it was fine. If you are staying at the hotel and looking for a quick meal it will do the job. If you are local, it is probably not exciting enough to make a trip for. Especially with all the other options nearby in Corktown.
The food: The food was all alright but my group and I expected more creativity and craft given that this restaurant is coming from Chickpea Hospitality. The menu is very generic American. Burgers, mac and cheese, pretty much an elevated version of what you'll find at common chain restaurants. The spinach artichoke dip was alright, nothing unexpected. The chicken parm was good but beyond the visual addition of the attached chicken wing it also didn't have much to elevate it for the price. With the menu you would also expect a good craft beer list but there is none. If I want Bud light or Heineken, I'll go across the street to Nemo's.
The Service: The host made a big show of wondering if he could fit our group of four into the restaurant, looking through his system for several minutes. The whole time we were there, the restaurant never filled up past 50%. Our waiter was very deadpan. About halfway through the meal we finally realized he was joking with us and were finally in on it. But for the first half of our visit he did come off as rude and inconvenienced by our presence. In the end all good, but was a bit unsettling up front.
The Atmosphere: Nicely done. Nothing special but well detailed, especially at the kitchen. The built-in banquette seats are pretty high and would benefit from a foot rest bar being added.
Overall would not be rushing back based on this experience. But it is still fairly new and will give due diligence to give it another try once they are more established or they find their footing on the...
Read moreLocated inside The Godfrey Hotel, this restaurant is gorgeous. It’s simple, modern, and the aesthetics were everything. While I was capturing some of the views, there was a woman with braids sitting with her laptop who started shouting at me not to record her. I completely understand why people don’t want to be in pictures, but since she seemed like she worked there, it felt a little unprofessional. It did leave a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.
Aside from that, we were seated quickly and noticed there’s even outdoor seating available.
The music was a mix of 90s and early 2000s R&B, which immediately put us in a good mood. For drinks, my friend and I ordered pineapple mimosas, and they were amazing. I even asked if they were made with fresh pineapple juice because they were that good. The only con was that they weren’t bottomless.
For food, my friend ordered the hashbrowns, and I had the pancakes with a side of bacon. Both were amazing. The bacon was perfectly crispy with a portion size that exceeded expectations, and the pancakes had the perfect balance of crisp and softness paired with syrup. Just so good. My friend really enjoyed her hashbrowns too, she just mentioned they could’ve used some hot sauce.
Our server was attentive the whole time, which I appreciated. Despite the awkward encounter in the beginning, I’d definitely come back for brunch or dinner and would recommend this spot. The decor and aesthetic make it a great place for celebrations, work events, or birthdays.
Thank you...

Our server Loyale (Lo) she was right on time with everything from menu suggestions like I was asking about the scallops and the tuna tar tar and we also ordered the everything biscuit!! Excellent choices and before we knew it Lo was bringing the tuna tar tar to the table at her expense!! Like, we was so surprised and wholeheartedly appreciated the thought because it was ALL good!! That was the appetizers, then we moved to the entrees I had the salmon 🍣 which was excellent as well (it didn’t stand a chance) 🤣🤣 my son had the beef barley soup and tea which was also good!! The drinks were very good I had the Garden of Daisies and my son had another drink that was really good, the only downfall was if u like sweet wine 🍷 your not going to find it there but it wasn’t for lack of effort on Loyale’s behalf because she certainly tried!! Then on to desert, I had the passion fruit sorbet with 1 candle lit for my birthday!! Loyale really took care of us and went above and beyond to make sure we was comfortable! I really had a GREAT time and experience at the Hamilton and would definitely eat there again in a heartbeat!! We didn’t want for anything!! Thank you, Loyale you made the experience GREAT!!! Last but not least the Ombiance was calm, soothing and welcoming! The music playing in the background was good and just the...
