Bartender was extremely rude and uneducated. My boyfriend and I came in to grab a drink before going to the beach. We were carded, no big deal, but the bartender was looking at our IDs for a long time. I figured he just wasn’t familiar with our out of state licenses. Then he had the audacity to accuse us that our IDs were fake. I’m 27 and my boyfriend is 26. We looked at him dumbfounded thinking it was a joke or something but no, he was serious. He told us our cards said “not for Real ID purposes,” and he thought that meant they weren’t real. He said “I should take these from you, but I’ll let you keep them.” I obviously got upset and told him they are our driver’s licenses, “not Real ID” just means we can’t use them to travel on an airplane. Read moreDewey Beach Country Club is hands down one of the best spots in Dewey! From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and perfectly coastal. The bar is always lively without ever feeling overwhelming, and the staff go above and beyond to make sure you’re taken care of. Drinks are top-notch—the most delicious espresso martinis, ice-cold beers, and a great prices for mixed drinks.
The vibe is exactly what Dewey is all about: relaxed, beachy, and full of good energy. Football season? This is the place to be.! Whether you’re stopping in for happy hour, watching sports, or just hanging out with friends, it’s always a great time. The décor and layout give it that classic “Caddyshack” feel, but with a polished twist that makes it stand out from other spots in town.
If you’re in Dewey Beach, this is a must-stop bar—perfect for both locals and visitors looking for authentic Dewey...

The golf theme is a plus and it’s cleaner than Rusty Rudder (no roaches on my dinner plate like my last meal at that place) but unfortunately looking destined to become another Dewey dump. I’ll at least give it another try once it’s been in business a...
