The Coffee Mill — Restaurant in Dewey Beach

We went to the Rehoboth location on Memorial Day weekend. As newcomers, we weren’t sure what parking and crowds would look like. We went at about 9:30 AM and the whole town was still sleeping. The line to get into the establishment was pretty long, but moved quickly. The Dewey location is a lot larger.

The bacon, egg, and cheese bagel was the BEST one I have ever had throughout my travels in the U.S.! The bagel was very fresh and they did not short me on bacon.

The iced coffee was pretty good and I was happy with the cup size. Most places have tiny cups these days. The coffee station only has milk. I’m okay with that because I am not picky. But if you are looking for cream/half & half, they do not have it. Maybe they were out, but the fridge in there only had milk.

I came to Dewey for a bachelorette party and was hoping to get a delicious smoothie from the Coffee Mill. Unfortunately, the smoothie was not what I had expected. I ordered a smoothie with bananas, blueberries, and strawberries with almond milk as my mixer. The smoothie even looked bland and tasted as though I was drinking literally just almond milk blended with ice. Unfortunately, I did not take a photo because I took 3 sips and threw it in the trash can. I make a lot of smoothies at home, and I really don't know how they can classify this as a smoothie. Two of my friends also ordered smoothies and had the same experience as me. All of the smoothies (and coffees) ended up in the trash can. We went here for lunch yesterday. We ordered two avocado toasts and a lemonade and paid over $30. That’s inSANE prices for around here but if it was avocado toast that I’d never forget it would be well worth it. It wasn’t. I’ll never forget it because it was so bad. The egg I got on my piece of toast wasn’t even seasoned. The avocado wasn’t seasoned at all and the worst part is the avocado has turned, so it was just really bad. Went there again this morning to give them a second chance and ordered two hazelnut iced coffees, it was weak and they handed it to me black.
