Jimmy's Grille Dewey — Restaurant in Dewey Beach

There are some definite pros and cons to this restaurant. The first con is that they do not serve any beer on tap. I was surprised by this and the limited bottle/can selection our waitress recited. I then figured I could order a Pina Colada at this sandy themed beach bar. However, I could not and was relegated to only the drink concoctions listed on the menu. I was also disappointed with the outside seating. The thin wooden bar stool legs sink into the sand too easy and make for an unstable seat.

That being said, the food was awesome. I could eat several of their crab cakes and still want more. There is so much crab and flavor packed into each one and the crispy coating adds a nice textural component. The chicken was also really good. We were seated and waited on quickly and our food came out quickly as well. I would come back for the crab cakes even if I had to sit on quickly still...

Just moved to the area and walked in with 8 other people. If the place is good we will stay and usually drop a 400 to 600 dollar bar tab.

Walked up to the bar and stood there for a good 5 minutes and not one bartender or server said a word to me 🤷 Not a hello or, we'll be right with you, your not standing in the proper place to order, we need 5 minutes....

Bartender's walks up with his back to me and I asked him if anyone was taking orders. Told me nope with an attitude and we could leave. Didn't go over well after that, not my problem. I live here and I'm not a tourist so when we have a large party we just won't worry about this place anymore. No idea what the bartender's issue was tonight, but it's a few 1000's dollars of lost future...

2 stars for the food being good, but honestly, I’ve been going out to eat multiple times a week my whole life and I’ve never come on here and complained about my servers because service industry is tough and I know it’s not an easy job. However, I love jimmys but I’ll probably stop going after my last experience because I think if I had the same waitress I’d have to walk out. Forgot my drink, okay no big deal, accidents surely happen people forget. Ordered chicken nachos, forgot the chicken somehow, told her no problem just take it off the bill, never took it off the bill. Ordered Mac n cheese, had to ask for it as it was forgotten. All of this wouldn’t be so annoying if it had been busy, or if she had been friendly, but neither...
