My mother told me about this place and how great it was, so I had to try it out.
I made a call in order. When arrived I was told it wasn't ready yet, which wasn't a problem because I had just placed the order. So I went ahead to pay first. The young man at the counter went over my order before I paid. Whoever took my order over the phone got it wrong. I order the turkey leg over a bed of dirty rice, I ordered the crab and and shrimp gumbo and 2 crawfish tacos. Instead of them putting in crawfish they put in fish tacos.
So he told me he would be right back. A woman then came up and asked me what was the problem. I explain to her what happened and she said she will fix it.
All in all I waited about 20 plus minutes on my order, before arriving to the location I place the order about 10 minutes earlier. When my order came out I glanced at it (I should have made sure everything was correct) I noticed I had 2 orders of tacos and I told the woman, she said it was okay and I could still have it for the inconvenience. She was the manager.
I wanted a detail print out of my receipt because my total seem higher than what I viewed online. And it was. The menu they have online isn't the same price inside the establishment. Now I can understand if I was a dine in customer but I ordered take out. To me that didn't make sense.
Once I arrived at home I took all the food out to get a closer look at everything and to my surprise I had 2 orders of fish tacos instead of the CRAWFISH TACOS I ORIGINALLY ORDERED!!! So I called up there to speak with a manager and told her what I received. I wanted to go off but I didn't. I requested to send her pictures of the tacos, so she didn't think I was a customer trying to get over. She told me not to worry about sending over pictures and she will redo the tacos whenever I stop by the place again. The thing is this place is located in Dickinson and I live in Pearland, so I wasn't going to drive back out there the same night.
I asked my husband was his food good he said it was but he didn't have crab in his gumbo, unless it was shredded crab. The fish tacos was good, so at least I still had something to eat for dinner, but I would have preferred my crawfish tacos.
I will go back up there to get my tacos corrected, when I'm on that side of town visiting my parents. Hopefully I will get the correct ones this time.

Read moreMy daughter has had the most traumatizing, life changing, depressing, etc. experience here. She worked for this company while attending school, playing sports, and giving her all while on the clock at this place of business. While doing so, she was robbed of her Apple (forgive me for not knowing the series at this moment) watch with a $5,000+ diamond bezel on it, by one of the employees. While General Manager Gernisha Compton, would not run the cameras to see who took it. We assumed it to be her or knew who had taken it. Possibly was turned in to her.
Not to mention she shared a traumatizing story with her that was very, very personal. General Manager Gernisha Compton, told her story and shared it a local known broadcaster that took the story live. While tremendous lies was included with the story, along with personal text messages to my daughters phone was some how retrieve/stolen and shared. When the story hit the county and who knows where else, the story was told and shown to my daughter. My child was devastated, humility, embarrassed and most of all betrayed.
When tried to take time off to gather her thoughts, and get herself mentally stable. And still trying to be loyal to her place of work, upon returning she was fired. The story goes on. The lies go on, while my daughter is trying to accept life and the hurt it brings and positively move forward, the General Manager continues on with the drama. My daughter is pregnant and can't enjoy or be mentally stable while pregnant. With possible threats of a miscarriage due to the stress from all of this...
I have yet to feed into it, until now. I had to take it to God first. The situation and drama I was having at the time, if I didn't I would've been in jail. So I humbled myself and took to God, he told me to take legal. This is my first step.
A person like that, over my food...no thank you!!!!!
P.S. The pork chops will make you sick, the 1st person I know may he R.I.P, hope they didn't kill him, or the start of his sickness, can't speak for himself, but I will. And I'm sure there are more others than the 3, I know of.
P.S.S. If you have any legal advice that you suggest during this journey to suing email at...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing. I don't think my family or I have had better in a long time. To start? Fried pickles for an appetizer-- those were those the perfect amount tangy and salty. The tater tots? Crunchy on the outside, and fluffy goodness on the inside, and eating them like was like... nothing else I'd ever had could even claim to be a tater tot.
For dinner, I'd had the crawfish poboy (picture below, after I'd already eaten HALF of it as it's a very large sandwich), my brother the catfish poboy, my mother and aunt both went with a plate of alaskan salmon, while my dad got the half pound of shrimp. I can say unequivocally that we all very much enjoyed our meals. That crawfish poboy is great with the FRIED crawfish in my opinion, and the flavor profile is downright scrumptious.
Next came the service. Our waiter, for the life of me, I can't remember his name, started with a T, I'm pretty sure; the red-haired and bearded gentleman, I'm sure he'd remember us because we were a family of redheads as well. The man was outstanding in his friendliness, his care, his charm and wit. He made sure we had everything we needed in a prompt manner, and even after the kitchen was closed and we were getting ready to leave, he secured me a little cup of queso so that when I ate my leftovers the next day, I could pour said queso on my fries (which, by the way, their fries were amazing).
The atmosphere was also welcoming and friendly, with the funny paintings on the walls, music and lighting all helping to liven the place up.
If you're looking for a great dinner experience after a long day of fun in the sun, I cannot recommend TJ...
