First the good parts... The salad bad was fresh and well maintained.
Now for the missed opportunities... As we checked in with the hostess, we were asked if we would mind a high top table. I asked if the table was in the bar area and if the bartender would be the one serving us, since in the past i have experiencedless attention from bar staff due to managing drink orders for servers amd customers. I was told yes but that there were two bartenders. We were sat and waited about 10 minutes before a passing server noticed us and asked if we had been helped. She then notified the bartender, who replied "Yeah, I told them I would be right with them". Neither of the two guests at the table had been told anything like this. She came around and took our order. We told her that we would like separate checks and gave her our orders. Almost 30 minutes later or food had still not arrived, and honestly had it not been for the actions of the same passing server, who knows when our food would have come out. She noticed us sitting there waiting and went and checked on our order. She immediately brought our food out and we asked if she could grab us some Togo boxes so e could get back on the road. She went for boxes and also got our check, which of course was not separated nor was the coupon for the salad bar taken off. She immediately apologized (not that it was her place to do so) and immediately fixed it and offered us two desserts to go as well. We just really needed to get on the road, but she insisted and ran to the back to grab some, while the bartender... remember the bartender?... she came over to cash us out. We were out the door quickly after that with 2 deserts and our food.
Had this experience taken place without the well managed salad bar, or the assistance of a random server who just happened to check on us, this review would be a 1 star. The rest of the food was decent, but how great could it be after sitting under a warmer and then going in a bag for the rest of the ride home.

Read moreVisit started out fine as we were seated right away, but quickly went downhill as the service we received, or rather didn't receive was awful. The waitress came over and asked for drinks and I was still looking so I had every one else order and then asked for ice water until I could pick an adult beverage. She took a rather long time to come back with drinks and didn't bring my water. We were ready to order food but she wouldn't take it until I gave her my drink order, then she walked off when I started ordering food! We waited about 10 more minutes while she had an ongoing conversation with another table about how she was "drunk" the other day, etc, etc... She looked over a couple of times and I tried to get her attention and she just ignored me or walked off! By the time she came back with my drink and asked for our food order I was very frustrated and let my family order then when she said, "and you?" in a sassy attitude imitating ,"Flo"from Mel's Dinner, I had had enough and said I don't want anything thanks! I was going to order a steak and shrimp but I was fed up with her attitude and lack of service. I went ahead and left to fuel up the car and purchased a few items from Pilot so we didn't have to waste anymore time. My wife and kids got the food to go and I had finished all the other errands before she had even brought their food. My son did NOT get what we ordered and my wife's food was tasty but rather cool . Read moreMannnn .. I haven't been into a Ruby Tuesday's, besides one in South Carolina a few months ago, in decades. And the lack of service and attention I got at the last Ruby Tuesday's in another state almost discouraged me from coming here, but I'm glad I did!
I had a BOGO entree, which was great. The place was super clean, everybody was super nice, my food was spectacular!
I forgot to write this review when I was still in Dickson, but nevertheless, here it is
So I sat at the bar, and Ed was my bartender/server. This guy was like a water spider. He was tending tables, and tending bar, making sure every single party and patron were constantly taken care of. The amount of attention he showed to everyone, is what I expect, because it's the same amount of attention that I would give my customers, and have gave my customers.
I ordered fried mushrooms for an appetizer, ordered the Cajun chicken and shrimp for my main, and I got my BOGO chicken parmesan to go.
My food was hot, it was quick, and I can't stop saying enough about Ed. Always made sure my glass was full, always checked in on me, and I noticed as he was running around, he would still let people know he was aware of them and he would be with them in a sec if he was ringing up a ticket or doing something else.
I come through here pretty often, and I'm definitely going to be going back, especially if Ed is working! Thank you Ruby tuesday's, for restoring faith in your establishment, because my incident in South Carolina almost made me a...
