Quality Inn & Suites Dickson — Hotel in Dickson

This is one of the most run-down terrible motel experiences I have ever had. We stayed there in November of last year and assumed it was being renovated because you could not access the drive-thru area in front of the front doors, and the room was clean but in disrepair, and did have an odd smell but not so bad that you couldn't stand it, so we cut them some slack. However when we came back this past weekend nothing had changed for the better, and in fact it had gotten worse! The pillars are all falling apart, big giant cracks in them, and the door on the room looked like it had been beat by something on the inside. The rooms that were clearly marked as non-smoking wreaked of cigarette smoke and marijuana and yes I know what it smells like because I'm from a state where they have legalized it. When we reported it to the front desk they proceeded to give us another non-smoking room that was in the same condition and smelled the same. It was so bad that in the time that it took us to take our stuff in, decide we couldn't handle it, and take our stuff back outside to our car my clothes already had picked up some of the smell and smelled like the room. We were not in there long at all. It also was making my throat scratchy. After trying to work with them and coming to the conclusion that there must not be any rooms that don't stink, and that it looked very shady, (it looks nothing like the pictures you find online of that supposedly exact same one). We left and had to get another motel. They're trying to say that we stayed for a day and don't want to return our money, even though we didn't do anything to the room, other than walk in and set our stuff down, didn't even un make the beds, and then took our stuff back out to our car and left. We will not be staying here again!! Beware,...

Nice setup, clean rooms! Good location off the highway and ample parking (including for trucks pulling trailers.) We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms and it had a COMFY king bed, pullout couch bed, microwave, coffee maker and fridge freezer combo (the one with a separate door for the freezer, if you’re like me and that impresses you!) The staff was friendly and helpful, and when I asked if all of the king rooms have the same setup (they do) they mentioned that they’re also planning on changing out all the linens soon. Note, they were clean, but apparently some people think they are outdated? Also, I’ve stayed in 3 other rooms on this trip and ended up with black feet due to dirty, dingy carpet - not the case here. I was curious (nosy) and actually swiped a wad of toilet paper across the floor when I was looking around, and no dirt. (And I paid double the price for those rooms!) It WAS a smoking room, and smelled FAINTLY of smoke, but what do you expect?! Choose a non smoking room if that’s going to offend you. It didn’t offend me and I was very pleased with my stay, and will stay there specifically in the future should I pass through the same area again. I’d give it 10...
