My partner and I booked a room pretty last minute to rest after attending a wedding. As young post-grads on a budget, we usually have pretty low standards. I did not expect luxury at this price; the only thing I ask for is cleanliness and privacy/security. At most, we got 1 of those 2 things. The room smelled like mildew/must when we first checked in, like the air conditioning wasn't turned on until recently. It was pretty strong but I was honestly willing to get used to it (again, last minute reservation for cheap price). The thing that drove me to give this review was the next morning, when we decided to sleep in a little bit with the "Do Not Disturb" tag on the door. At some point around 7am, we woke up to someone from the hotel staff keying into our room. It wasn't housekeeping (though they shouldn't have bothered a door with the DND tag anyway), it wasn't an emergency, it was for a DoorDash order. They wanted us to take our DoorDash delivery that we didn't even order. It must've been some mistake, and they could very well have knocked first and we slept through it, but I don't understand how a DoorDash order was so important or urgent that they couldn't have left it outside the door or at the front desk. Instead, they violated our privacy by keying into our room while we were sleeping. It's unnerving to think we could have been changing, showering, etc. Did the "Do Not Disturb" tag not matter? Is it unreasonable to expect privacy at the very least?...
Read moreI stay at Choice Hotel properties several times a year for business travel. I booked a room at this property for 4 nights and checked out after the first night.
The internet left a LOT to be desired. I spent 30 minutes just trying to log in and after I finally was able to connect, I could not get any pages to load. I could not access my email and therefore, I could not get any work done. I called the front desk and they said that sometimes when bad weather comes in, the internet has problems because it is satellite based- there was no bad weather in the vicinity. The next morning, I still could not connect and called the front desk to reset the connection. They did and I still could not load a single web page.
My refrigerator in my room was awful! It was not very cold and the next morning when I went to retrieve my ice packs for a cooler, they were not frozen. The knob to set the coldness was missing and I could not make it any colder.
The room was clean, but I had booked a smoking room and there were multiple burn holes in the bedspread. I understand that is the nature of the beast, but when it looks that bad, it is time to replace the bedspread.
This property received over 4 stars in the review section which is why I booked this hotel. I was very...
Read moreFor the price, I didn't expect much. It was comfortable enough, clean enough and good enough for the price. The breakfast was ok - but they didn't keep it replenished very well. It was enough to fill an empty spot in my stomach. There was no meat. Just muffins, waffles....the usual. The noise level was a little to high for my liking. I could hear foot steps above me and everytime someone would start the shower, I could hear it and it woke me up. One morning it was about 5:00 a.m. I believe. We stayed 2 nights. My daughter and her husband had a room, as well. The first morning they put their bags in the "closet" but left his phone charger plugged in and shampoo and conditioner in the bathroom (about $10 worth, just opened). The next morning my daughter got in the shower to find it gone. They went to front desk to retrieve the phone charger but said the shampoo and conditioner probably got thrown away! No apologies or offers to make it right! They had one little bottle of conditioner to offer her, but she has very long hair, so it didn't go far. I had no condioner in my room. Why would you throw it away when you KNOW they are staying a second night??????? They are a newly married couple so they stayed there to save money - $10 worth of stuff missing, was a big...
