Denny's — Restaurant in Dixon

I have to rate it like this only because we got to the place 45 minutes before closing time in a week day. There were 2 people attending in the dinner room and after stamding at the register for about 15 minutes the two ladies working were only looking at us but not even talking to us nor telling anything, not even greeting us!!! Normally they would great you , "At Least"" but they didnot. They were only walking back to the kitchen,, looking at their tickets and going back to the dinning area.. Then I have to tell to one of them when she was walking back to the kitchen and close to the register..."excuse me????? Then she promptly replied.....sorry, I cannot seat you!!! Then she just kept walking.....this is totally unacceptable! We have been coming to this place since before they moved an opened this new location and we never had experienced an issue like this. In the customer service business one issue like this is too many!!! Thank you to these workers you (owner/franchise) have lost not only one, but around 15 customers! That is right! We (family and friends) are not coming back to this location at least for the rest of the year! We hope you take action regarding this issue since now people can see this ratings and may decide where to spend their money for at least some customer respect and appreciation. People, there are many other places where our money will be well received and at least good customer service received in exchange. My recommendation is, go somewhere you are welcome and considered a patron. Our patronage make businesses good or bad. Definitely this was a sour moment that we do not like anyone else to...

A few nights ago I stopped in for some late night dinner around 12am. I had a waitress with short hair I think she’s new her names Melissa or Alyssa? The place was busy and it was just her and one cook her service was amazing and she was very communicative and checked on me constantly she was nice and it was a very pleasant amazing experience with her. Last night I come in again to have her as my server but there was 2 servers here and I had the waitress kim. She was very rude and had attitude. I placed my order and 5 min later I heard her being rude to the other server and a manager I think it was she had on a different shirt and was short Hispanic lady very nice. After the waitress was arguing she stopped what she was doing and walked out leaving cussing under her breath. I had another waitress come up to me and apologize. I asked who was going to take care of me cause there were other tables without food as well. I was told they were going to try and have someone else come in. This is not the experience I was looking for. I was expecting my server to be professional and nice with a great attitude like my last experience. This is not okay and I hope management does something about this. I’ll call ahead next time to make sure there’s a professional...

We stopped here after running back to school errands. We each ordered some sort of burger and fries or onion rings. None of which was very good despite being some of the easiest things to make. Someone kept changing the overhead music every 30 seconds between different songs a genres...it was very annoying since we were directly under a speaker and could hear the music over our conversations. The waitress, as kind as she was, got several parts of our Orders wrong. Every time we asked to fix it, something else would get mistaken. A different person entirely, brought out our food and had no idea anything was messed up. We waited almost 30 min for one order to be fixed, and all 3 of us had some mistake or another. By time it was done, I just wanted to go home and order a pizza. We waited over 20 min just for the check. I get that the food industry is high stressed, fast paced and demanding. But there was no one here for the first half of our visit. There was no way we should've waited like we did or had nearly as many mistakes as we did with absolutely no communication from our waitress or the manager. Since we don't believe in getting a free meal, we paid and left. I won't return and have a repeat...
