SS Currey Express — Restaurant in Dixon

Last night, I had the pleasure of dining at SS Curry Express, an Indian restaurant in Dixon, CA. As a lover of Indian cuisine, I must say that this restaurant has left an indelible mark on my taste buds.

Cuisine: The restaurant specializes in Indian cuisine, and I was delighted to explore a variety of dishes, SS Curry Express truly delivered an authentic Indian dining experience.

Service: The service was nothing short of excellent. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made me feel right at home.

Price: One of the standout features of SS Curry Express is its affordability. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality and quantity of the food. It's a fantastic option for those looking for delicious Indian cuisine without breaking the bank.

Cleanliness: The restaurant was impressively clean and neat. This attention to cleanliness and hygiene is always a reassuring sign, especially in the current times.

Overall: SS Curry Express has quickly become one of my favorite places to enjoy Indian food in the Sacramento area. Clay Oven in Vacaville was always my go to, and no place came near until I had food from SS Curry Express. The combination of authentic cuisine, excellent service, reasonable prices, and a clean environment makes it a top choice. Excellent service, great food, I would definitely recommend the Samosas and their Date sauce which was absolutely amazing. Nice and piping hot too.

Chicken Tikka Masala was good as well, though I would have liked it a bit hotter (temperature wise) as it was bordering hot and warm when I got it. But it had a great flavor and some nice Basmati rice to go with it (no extra charge)

The Naan was okay, not at all what I am used to, almost reminded me of a pizza dough. Definitely not worth the price for 2 pieces ($3.99)

The Mango Lassi was excellent, no complaints there.

The friendly atmosphere was neat, it is a quiet little place.

My only other nack is the price. It is a bit pricy especially given the Masala wasn't as temp hot as it could be and the Naan was mediocre.

That being said I wouldnt mind giving this little joint another go in the future

They also have an option to tip prior to checkout but, there is no table side cleanup or service and no free refills. Very much like a fast food place, except Currey Express uses ceramic...

If I could give 0 stars, I would. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. I went with my daughter and we ordered Tandoori chicken, Dosa and Mango Lassi. Firstly the food was way too over priced, which would be Ok if the food was good. But it was the WORST food I have ever eaten. Do not trust the 4.5 stars. The chicken looked like it had been frozen and then reheated, it was hard to chew, flavorless and with lot of food dye. Then came the DOSA ( also the service is horrendous and he would give the food one by one by leaving it on the counter which meant u would have to stop eating to go pick it up) the dossa was very small, not restaurant quality and did not come with the sides the dish usually has. The Mango lassi came at the end of our meals which was the smallest size u could imagine. For $4 each, it was sour, bland and unappetizing. We regret spending $42. Please save your money and go get MCdonalds instead ( trust me MCdonalds is...
