Wow! In one word to explain so much about one place so simply does not explain the depth of pleasure it was eating here. From the outside it has a simple look with a rather plain looking exterior. Parking was easy with plenty of available space. Once you step inside the word wow comes to the front of your mind fast. The beautifully unique seating with each table or booth having it's own painted surfaces from mariachi bands serenading the people to a family happy at home. The wonderful staff was very helpful and thoughtful of the customers. For instance I ordered the torta ahogada which had spicy labeled next to it. Me loving spice was ready for whatever came my way but what I took as a surprise was when she asked if i wanted the sauce separate because if its spice level. I respectfully declined the separation with a smile on my face. The food size for the price was well worth it to me. We soon sat down and I allowed the ambience fill my senses. The sounds of the music, the families enjoying each others company, even the radiant colors that scatter throughout the building. Soon enough the food arrived and with the shrimp cocktail size I was at first surprised and again the word wow was the first thing to be said. Shortly my meal came out and I saw something on it's own level. A beautifully fluffy bread with a crisp shell covered in a rich red colored sauce all topped with a decent portion of sliced onion. The image was a sight to behold and to be cherished. The time was here for the first bite into what I hoped was a spicy meaty torta and I wasn't let down. My mouth soon became overwhelmed with the spice as it felt like small embers being heated with every breath. The bread was soft and light with plenty of give to enjoy it without having to chew too much. If anything were to be changed only the amount of meat given. But I just love extra protein to my foods. About halfway through the spice had risen to a point where sweat had formed on my brow and every breath had a quiver to it almost like a sense of euphoria and expectation of the next bite. Shortly after the burned calmed to a light warmth as my breath grew steadier and the thrill was slowly fading. It was wonderful, exciting, and fun almost like a food rollercoatser. For those seeking flavor and excitement this place will...
Read moreThis place is truly authentic Mexican! So for those that have rated it poorly, I have a feeling they weren’t expecting truly real Mexican food. You go up and order and pay, then you find a table and sit down with a number, they bring it out to you, and you get your own silverware. The food was omg delicious! I got a #1 which is a combo meal with a taco and a burrito and I got beef for the meat. Everything was handmade and worth every bite!! For drinks, they have homemade horchata and a couple juices, Mexican Coca-Cola, Jarritos, and more. It’s a tasty selection and the other awesome part was that they sell Mexican ice cream/popsicles that looked delicious! I highly suggest eating here if you like authentic Mexican food!! One review talked about not very nice staff but I’m wondering if that was interpreted wrongly. The staff speak English but to a small extent and I truly believe they wanted to help as much as they could and our cashier told us to take our time when we said we didn’t know what we wanted. Also, someone in the reviews talked about the smell. Walking in you walk right by the bathrooms and I will admit it didn’t smell great but that just means my party didn’t sit near there and everything was fine! To address the complaints about it being expensive, everything around the world is more expensive than it used to be! When you account for the handmade tortillas and salsa and cooking authentic meat etc, it is not that expensive at all and having those handmade things makes it worth more. We happily paid and were content and full by the end! If I had even the slightest complaint, it would be that when somebody picks music from the jukebox that it is pretty loud but people there seemed to enjoy it and my party was eating, not talking, and so it...
Read moreVery nice environment. But don't be fooled by the pictures of food they have, I wish their food was that good but no, It was a very big disappointment I ordered the the flontas only to end up getting very small taquitos with barely any meat inside it. Being my first time there I apologize to them saying I didn't know this was how the plate was going to come and if I could change it for something else at first they did not want to she said sorry there's nothing I can do about it only when I told her that based off the picture it was false advertisement and I had never been there before and still she made it an issue but finally after the cook told her he would do it, then she got me a new meal telling me they would not be able to do it ever again. Long story short, they lost out on my business! and I hope you think twice before going. There are much better places to help out, that aren't just trying to take your money, but want to give you a quality meal to ensure your satisfied and...
