We went there for a birthday party dinner with a larger party of about 8. No one had a great experience. First the service was ok but our orders took about an hour to arrive. That was my first warning bell as that should not have taken so long. Now let's go to the food. Yikes it wasn't good. A couple of us had the pasta carbonara and I think it should be called carbonara soup instead. It was terrible. My wife had lasagna and was acceptable but we all had the impression that it was frozen. Which would explain how it was the better of all the dishes. Another couple had the fettuccine Alfredo and it was a missed opportunity for the restaurant. First the whole point of making it table side is the show. Unfortunately they did it behind our backs so we could not see what was going on and even worse it wasn't good. How do you mess up fettuccine Alfredo? Lol. Ultimately every dish was not great.
ATMOSPHERE: I am not sure what they are going for here. I feel like it was decorated by committee. It's supposedly an Italian restaurant, but you wouldn't know it by the decor. They have some modern touches that are out of place, then there are a few images of Rome, then they have bright blue lights blinding us while trying to dine. Then they have a DJ playing EDM which feels out of place. Then they have live music playing songs like La Bamba. WHAT? That is so out of place. Lol. I believe most people go to an Italian restaurant in order to have an authentic experience with good food. This is not that. Food was not good, and the experience was worse. Also it was WAY overpriced for what you get. Not...
Read moreTypically, don't write bad reviews, but this place is just disappointing on so many levels. Mind you, we weren't expecting a lot when we walked in, considering the place was empty on a Saturday night. We ordered the Fried Mozzarella, which wasn't great. Came to the table barely warm, and the breading had little flavor. Wife ordered the spaghetti and meatballs which reminded us of Chef Boyarde. I ordered a pizza, which was actually ok. Just not a lot of flavor. The service was super slow and actually saw two couples leave the restaurant while we were there. This may have been due to the fact that they were playing rap music loudly in the restaurant. I'm not sure why they picked that music for what they described as an elegant Italian restaurant. The final straw was the pasta with clams and mussels we took home for our daughter. She ended up tossing it into the trash after finding a piece of plastic in the container. We would have been better off going to Olive Garden and not been overcharged $130 for such a horrible experience. We went due to the 4.8 star review, but obviously, this review is...
Read moreThis is a gem we found yesterday ! I went to city place and I almost left because we didn’t know where it was located ! It’s behind the Novecento ! We couldn’t believe such a nice place we found ! We were not much sure because it was kind of empty ( they need more promo around the area ) the menu is beyond exquisite , we go to all the Italians placed in Miami and I can tell you this menu is so far the best , their food in wow ( they have the big cheese experience and the cocktails are done by an incredible mixologist ) the waiter and the live music super good !
We had such a good date because it was espectacular ! I would recommend to put outside the same music they play inside ( live saxo smooth house ) , because the music outside was too much and can give a false vision about the restaurant inside ! Also I will recommend to promote it in areas like Miami lakes Miami spring, they have potential clients in those areas ! I’m a business owner and I can see the potential of this place ! I will ...
