Let me start off by saying that the 3 start rating is not for the staff, they definitely were friendly, quick and I can understand the great reviews for them, the clean restaurant and vibe El Sushi has. The rolls I had were extremely small and thin, but I even understand that. But aside from that, the rice in both rolls was undercooked and so tough to eat. I actually had to take the rice off my second roll to get thru it. I couldn't even appreciate the fish or taste because i was fighting with the hard rice. From the reviews, i'm assuming this just happened to be an off day. I had seen Instagram and read the reviews before attempting to go. I was heading from a Miami lakes and took a detour through Doral. I have gone to many sushi bars throughout miami and all my travels and, yes, even budget ones, because you gotta try everything in life, but I was disappointed with this one on my first visit with no wish to return. Maybe other dishes are better 🤷🏽‍♀️. Either way, judge for yourself.

This is my first time trying El Sushi and it was overall a good meal. I loved my sushi roll (Dragon Roll) and the beef noodle dish, they were so tasty and a great value for your money. I would definitely come back for those items! I am leaving 4 stars because of the miso soup. It’s a large portion for $3 for sure but it’s watered down and needs more salt. I’d rather have a slightly smaller portion if it meant that the flavor would be right. It also came out scalding hot, I left it uncovered for 20 minutes and it is still steaming pretty heavily out of the top. I know this is in part because it’s in styrofoam so it will retain temperature, but it must have been added to the container while it was boiling because it’s taking forever to cool down to an edible temperature. I tried some and it immediately burned my tongue, and I am someone that can typically handle hot food/drinks. I would overall recommend this restaurant, just skip the soup!

Good sushi for publix prices! The sushi rolls here are good. I had the tiger roll, alaska special, and niji roll. They all tasted great. I really like the tiger roll, while deep fried wasn't so fried that the fish inside was completely cooked, which allowed for the meat to still feel soft and juicy. The alaska roll was exactly as expected and not skimpy on the salmon. I usually don't like tuna in my role, but the amount and type of tuna used allowed the roll not to be overwhelmed by the tuna flavor. This restaurant is a sister restaurant of Soya miami and maintains the quality of Soya while delivering affordable sushi for everyday meals when you just want sushi, but not an entire date night. It's a small restaurant, and seating is limited, so just be mindful of that when planning to dine in. Also, there are no water cups, so upgrading to a combo might be needed if you expect to want a drink.

Food— So, where do I start. The sushi was really sub-par, not even better than something you would get at a Publix for example, but that doesn’t mean it was bad, just not what most of these reviews or influencers are making it sound like, it’s essentially fast food sushi. Which for the price, it’s not too bad, but then again the portions are pretty small as well and it just doesn’t make it a good deal at all. You’re better off going to an actual restaurant and paying 5 bucks extra for a quality roll. I only tried a couple rolls and the mixed rice, which was actually my favorite part of the meal, would recommend that actually, the shrimp tasted fresh and they were decently sized! ——Service. Another thing to note is the service, even though this concept has a lot of potential (fast food sushi) I feel the execution is not that great, there’s a lot of room for improvement and I hope they take note, cause this place could actually be really something else. I went on a Friday evening, around 8 pm and the place was packed and there were a lot of orders coming in. I waited around 40 minutes for my order, which were just two rolls and a rice and I didn’t even get one of the rolls that I ordered, and people were constantly bringing back there incomplete orders. Overall just felt like they were a bit all over the place with handling the orders, and there was just one person handing them off, so there was plenty of room for error.

—Ambiance. This is not a place I would bring a first date, dinner with the family or anything like that really, it’s just a basic lay out of furniture with not too many seating options to be honest, but that’s okay, because the idea is to get in and get out (fast food sushi) when you go at it with that in mind and not what reviews or influencers portrayed, you’ll have a better experience, no doubt, but if you think it’s going to be a a nice sushi restaurant where you eat a really good roll for 10 bucks, you’re out of luck.

Overall, the place is not bad, I think it has a lot of potential, but the execution so far, comes short. I would give it 3 stars, but the blatantly fake reviews and paid influencers just rubs me the wrong way, so 2...

I recently had the pleasure of dining in at this restaurant and the experience was absolutely incredible. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted warmly by the staff and seated at a cozy table with a perfect view of the sushi bar. The ambiance was inviting and relaxing, with soft lighting and a soothing atmosphere.

I decided to try a variety of dishes, including some classic sushi rolls and sashimi, as well as some more unique offerings. One dish that truly stood out to me was the chef's special roll, which featured a combination of fresh tuna, avocado, and a spicy mayo sauce. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and each bite was a delight for my taste buds.

The presentation of the dishes was also top-notch, with each plate meticulously arranged and garnished with beautiful edible flowers and delicate seaweed decorations. It was clear that the chefs put a lot of care and attention into every detail of the meal.

Overall, my experience at this sushi restaurant was nothing short of incredible. The food was delicious, the service was impeccable, and the atmosphere was relaxing and inviting. I left feeling completely satisfied and eager to return for another unforgettable dining experience. I would highly recommend this restaurant...

I heard about this restaurant from an Instagram influencer and instantly headed over at around 8 PM. I ended up getting my food at 9 PM. Almost an hour wait. I’ll definitely be giving it a second chance simply because I do see the opportunity and potential the place has, if they fix their issues.

First off, the ordering system is very technologically advanced, which is good however, personally I had a little bit of a hard time, trying to understand how to make things into combos and how it more or less worked until somebody explained.

They should up the portions as the sides are really small

They’re waiting time is definitely the worst as I’ve said. I waited over an hour and I believe 100%. This is due to lack of staff and lack of system management. We had to go up to the counter and ask about our order in order for them to actually start preparing it. This was an easy 30 minutes into the wait time.

I believe that the restaurant could benefit from upgrading their system to potentially collecting phone numbers instead of having everybody wait by the desk for their order as well as work on a better system to preparing orders. Regardless of anything I will be coming back to give the restaurant a...
