So this is definitely a 3 star hotel so don’t be expecting anything else. It’s clean, perfectly located access to the highway, has lots of food options nearby, and the rooms are nice and clean. Just beware you can see the highway from the parking lot and your room so expect lots of traffic noise, not for light sleepers. The hotel is also old so there were lots of cranking noises from the AC unit going on all night. The wall thermostat didn’t work to regulate the temperature. It just said “error” but you can still change it from the AC unit so that was just a minor inconvenience.
My main issue with the room was the TV, barely basic cable access. You had maybe 8 channels to choose from, no guide, and the signal kept getting lost so if you found something to watch then you would loose it very quickly.
The service is not the best. The breakfast was cold, and I don’t mean lukewarm. COLD!. Got to say cold eggs, not the best to have in the morning. There was also MAJOR construction going on, on the highway, the streets around, and on the street across from the hotel. Everything was closed and blocked off, my GPS took 30+ min to try and find a roadway that wasn’t closed. At 11pm, driving through Doral was not the best. I wouldn’t recommend it. The front desk said absolutely nothing during check in about the construction blocking that much access to the hotel. It hadn’t just started that day so it’s only considerate to mention it to guests. Now don’t get me wrong , all the employees were very nice just not informative. Best example , they didn’t ask me if I wanted cleaning services or not. So the lady knocked very loudly on my door early in the morning. Tip for you ,put the “do not disturb” sign if you want to sleep in.
So if you can put up with all of the issues mentioned above then it’s the hotel for you. I won’t be...
Read moreOn June 6, 2025 at 1am I have been calling front desk for 1 hour now. I checked in about 15 minutes prior to my call and there was a old Spanish guy working there watching something on his phone but while I’m calling about my room’s fridge not working no one answers. As I am on the phone waiting for someone to pick up I get dressed and walked downstairs and went to the lobby. The phone was ringing and the old man sitting back not answering. No one in the lobby, So I hang up and tell him my room fridge is not refrigerating and the food I packed for the next few days might go bad. He simply said I can’t do anything until the morning. After I complained he cut me off and told me I could bring it downstairs and he’d put it somewhere I don’t know where. When I do bring down the food, he then asks when I’ll be picking it up. I said when I’m hungry….. this defeats the purpose of bringing anything. It’s such a huge inconvenience!
I understand it being slow on the red-eye shift. But answering a call is bare minimum work, Had me get dressed and go downstairs to then come up again and down again. That made the matters worse because it feels just straight careless and lazy !!! I just got off working 3 flights to then have to still not lay my head and rest. You have people on work trips here, People vacationing and people who practically live in hotels. Please make sure your night shift staff are willing to work and not stealing company...
Read moreI have always stayed at Hampton inn Doral for many years since I’ve started traveling to Miami. I loved staying there with my family while on vacation. My family and I have even made a special bond with Mr Leon, who I found out no longer works at this hotel. I haven’t been to Miami for the past 2 years due to the pandemic. I traveled to Miami 2 weeks ago and stayed at this hotel with my family, as it’s my favorite hotel in the doral area. I must say, I am very displeased with the service now. My Suite was never cleaned till 4 days past during my stay. My hubby had to go ask for towels every 2 days. We even got less towels when we checked in. The internet never worked for our entire stay. We stayed 6days. Upon arrival for check in, front desk was not even pleasant. After our second day, we got locked out our rooms cause there was a mix up. Actually another guest that stayed a few rooms from us had the same problem being locked out. We had to get new keys. We saw a small cockroach in the dishwasher on the 2nd night of our stay. From the many stays we had there over the years, this was the worst stay. I will be returning with my family this coming week. I don’t want to give up on this hotel just yet. I do pray my coming stay will be more pleasant and the suite will be cleaned properly and the front desk staff is hospitable to returning guests that have been always choosing...
