I wanted to leave a review for the fantastic experience we had at this restaurant, but I also feel compelled to address a misrepresentation in another review. While our visit was enjoyable, there was a disturbance caused by another table that has since been mischaracterized in their review.
The issue stemmed from the other party bringing in their own alcohol, which is against the restaurant’s policy as they have obtained their liquor license. The manager explained this politely, but the customer claimed not to speak English and demanded someone speak Chinese. When a Chinese-speaking manager came to assist, they were rudely dismissed and told they weren’t “important enough” to address the situation.
The incident escalated to the point where the police had to be called. Interestingly, when law enforcement arrived, the customer suddenly spoke perfect English, and the officers clarified the city ordinances about BYOB policies. For this customer to go through all of that and still leave a negative review blaming the restaurant is beyond unreasonable.
Reviews are a great tool to share experiences, but some people seem to twist events to suit their narrative. The reality is, this customer disregarded the rules and showed blatant disrespect to the staff and city regulations. Perhaps they should consider opening their own restaurant if they want to make their own rules.
As for our experience, Sunny was an amazing server, the food was excellent, and the professionalism of the staff in handling such an entitled customer was truly impressive. I highly recommend this restaurant for its outstanding service and...
Read moreBrought a big group here for my girlfriend’s birthday yesterday. The food quality here is always good, so no complaints there. We love the food at this restaurant. The service, unfortunately, was not as great this time around. Since we had a large group, it’s difficult sometimes when we’ve all ordered meats to know who ordered what. Ash, our server, had the robot come and deliver all the meat. This made it extremely confusing as we now had all this meat coming to our table but we weren’t sure who had ordered what since the robot delivered it and our server wasn’t there. Moreover, when Ash was starting the grills for the meat and the hotpot burners, he wasn’t very mindful of the small space. I had some shrimp in my plate from the buffet, and his elbow actually touched the shrimp because he wasn’t being very careful when he was staring up the burner. I had to throw the shrimp away unfortunately considering this. Also, multiple times throughout the evening I had to get up and go get him so we could get the service we required. I’m not sure if maybe he was overwhelmed, he seems like a good guy and all but it definitely wasn’t the level of service I was expecting considering we were there celebrating a birthday and I brought such a big group. Lastly, the check, Ash hadn’t been upfront with everyone that gratuity had already been included when he brought out the checks. I understand that sometimes these charges get added to our bill, which I’m ok with - but I do expect clear...
Read moreI had the opportunity to visit on 11/16/24 during their soft opening. It was busy Saturday night at 8pm. Parking was hard to find. It took a few minutes before we were greeted; however, once greeted, we were promptly seated for our reservation of 16 people. They put us in a private room with two tables of 8.
This place offers 3 dining experiences in one: all you can eat hotpot/kbbq, boba dessert, and what appears to be a traditional szechuan experience. I will be speaking on the all you can eat hotpot/kbbq.
Once seated, we were provided a tablet. The tablet is user friendly and provides some pictures. There were slight connectivity issues. After selecting the options on either hotpot or kbbq, there is a button to select to send it to the kitchen. Some of the items selected did not come out.
While waiting for our selected choices, there is a small buffet that offers appetizers like lo mein, chicken wings, crawfish, fries, etc.
The food came out after about 10 minutes. It's mostly self serve, but your server is there to assist.
I enjoyed the vegetarian hotpot options. There are are a lot of vegetables to choose from.
As of 11/16/24, the restaurant is still in the process of getting their liquor license, so no alcohol sales at this time. On Saturday, they close at 11:30pm, so last call is 11:00pm.
Overall a beautiful restaurant with great ambiance and great value. There is something here for everyone....
