Craving Banh Mi? You're in luck, this place is the bomb! With Banh Mi prices starting at $2.50, you'll be very impressed with how much food you can get for under $10. Not to mention the authenticity of it. I absolutely love the banh mi here and the pho is done pretty well here. Let's start with the outside of this place though. The parking lot for this place is in Asian Square I believe. It's probably not to code. Be careful driving in this parking lot as it might not be safe for low riding cars. Second thing to note, don't judge the restaurant by the way it looks on the outside (or the inside either). No frills and thrills, just great food! Our server is always quick. She's impeccably fast at serving and during lunch time even when the restaurant is filled at max occupancy, you can expect this woman (always the same one for me) to be flying around the restaurant shouting Vietnamese and taking orders left and right. Anyways, very important note: BRING CASH!!!! THIS IS A CASH ONLY PLACE! There's a bank of America right down the street if you need an ATM. As per food, you can't go wrong with Banh Mi Thit Nuong and P9. Banh Mi Thit Nhuong (Grilled Pork Vietnamese Sub sandwich) is only $3. It'll be one of the best $3 you've ever spent. P9 is a fairly safe Pho (Viet Soup) for non-adventurous folks who like steak but not all the other crazy parts of the cow. I love this place and wish they could open a second restaurant inside Atlanta. We're lacking some great authentic Asian food like this outside...

Originally, I came here because my frugal vegetarian friends have recommended it. I'm a regular now.
On my first visit, the place what super busy. There were no clean tables and only one slim spot in the middle of the community table. I just stepped over and set the dishes off of one table and on to another. However within a few minutes, someone came out with a cart and cleared a bunch of tables. The staff was hustling and got the place cleaned up quickly. Also, they were quick about getting my order.
I had barbecue pork over rice with a couple of eggs. A small bowl of broth and some fish sauce came out early. The main dish took about 10 minutes, which seemed quite quick for the busyness. The vegetables were very fresh. Must be what my vegetarian friends like about this place. The fried eggs had that nice crispy edge that I like. The pork was chewy little squares that lack that grilled flavor that you might find at other Vietnamese restaurants.
The pho is tasty and very hot. I've had the brisket, pork and seafood which is all tasty. The brisket has that rich brisket flavor. The pork is tender slices.
Often, I remark about taking a date here. I wouldn't, but there have been young and old couples here each time I've been here.
In short, this is a quick, hot meal with prompt service and bus stop ambience for...
Read moreLove this place! It's been around for decades and has always been fantastic. Everything is so fresh. The meats and sauces are made in-house and they glop it on with the speed of a nascar pit crew. The banh mi are a messy, delectable work of art. Subway needs to give up their sandwich artist title because these little aunties will run circles around them.
The line for sandwiches goes out the door, but it's worth the wait. It's also cash only.
The best way to do it is to call in 20 minutes ahead of time and go hit up the ATM at that QuikTrip down the street.
Whoever picks up is out of breath and is juggling you and the two dozen people in line so you'd better know what you want. She's loud and to the point. It's not being curt; it's efficiency. She has no time for your thumb twiddling. Get it together. You order 6 sandwiches and a boba smoothie. You get your ATM cash.
By the time you park the car there's a line out to the sidewalk, but it moves fast. You spend 10-15 minutes in that crowded line. By the time you get to the front you'd better have your name and exact order ready. You pay as a diminutive lady thrusts a pouch heavily-laden with the best thing you'll put in your mouth all week into your arms. She disappears into a flurry of movement and sandwiches before you even know what's happening. Don't forget to leave a tip...
