Molly's Pizza is the best pizza in the South Hills, hands down. Their menu is varied (pasta dinners, salads, and appetizers) and the baked hoagies are delicious! I am a caregiver for my husband and more times than I can count I have relied on a quick lunch or dinner from Molly's when I just don't feel like cooking. Knowing they deliver is a perk especially for people like us.
That is why I am so sorry that I have to shop around and find another pizza place that rivals Molly's and delivers. After being a die hard customer since Molly's first opened, I will be taking my business elsewhere. I am so disappointed in their management and how I've been treated recently. I have been treated like trash over a minor misunderstanding and I've been threatened that I can no longer place any future orders until I pay $12.64 for a pizza we didn't get because when I realized the girl didn't ask me if I wanted any toppings on the pizza, I called back to specify what I wanted but the manager said it was too late......the pizza was on its way. I told him I didn't want just plain cheese and I would just pay for the two deluxe hoagies that I also ordered. But he was adamant that either I pay for all of it, or I don't get any of it. I was shocked. He explained that he'd have to throw the pizza away (right!) and they would lose $14.00 so I either had to pay for all or nothing. He was obnoxious. In the end, the delivery was just the two hoagies. But this manager, and I use that word loosely, warned me that the next time I place an order I would have to pay for that pizza first. Today I called to place an order......guess what? My call was screened and he got on the phone and told me to cough up that money or don't order any more pizzas. Is Molly's that bad off that they are threatening senior citizens to pay for items they didn't get? Is $12 or $14 dollars worth losing a long time customer? I'll put that money in the church collection before I pay a dime for a pizza I didn't want or get. If you don't mind being threatened or humiliated, I submit the food...
Read moreI avoid posting negative reviews about local businesses, but due to the issues I've had with Molly's in Dormont, I've been encouraged to share this experience. I want to preface this by saying I like Molly's pizza and the "ala carte" wings (although NOT the small wings). Over the past several months, my orders were wrong, so I eventually stopped ordering. Earlier this week, I decided to try one of their salads. I ordered without onions, green peppers and tomatoes. Not only was the order incorrect, but to top it off, they didn't send dressing. I left a message with an employee to ask the manager to phone me. Although it took longer than it should have, eventually I did get a call from the manager. I explained the issue with the wings and why I stopped ordering them, to which she stated something to the effect that "ok, so we don't need to talk about the wings, since you're never going to order them." I tried to explain that I LIKE the wings and WANT to order them, but I want my order to be right! I then explained about the salad...this was the final straw.... She said "if I ask my cook if he added onions, peppers and tomatoes and he said he didn't, then it's HIS work against YOURS!" Omg, right? If I was a constant complainer, or irate, I can understand that perhaps the manager had a bad day and just reacted poorly. However, neither are the case. Anyway, it's just sad and frustrating and I did not deserve the...
Read moreI decided to try Molly's for the first time tonight and I was far from impressed. I ordered through the Slice app (Lg cheese pizza, chicken wings, hoagie, fries and garlic bread. Minutes before my food was delivered, I got a call from my delivery person saying Molly's didn't have the pizza for him. I reached out to Slice who told me a coupon that was listed on their app for Molly's wasn't valid anymore. They advertised the special $7.99 for a LG cheese pizza) which I redeemed. I guess since the promo wasn't valid they didn't make the pizza. No matter whose fault it was, they should've fulfilled my order and figured it out amongst themselves, but Slice did refund me for the pizza. The other items I ordered were made and delivered, but were meh. The fries and wings were room temp and kinda mushy (not crispy). I live within 2 miles of the restaurant too so travel time was short. I've used Slice to order food dozens of times before and never had an issue like this. I won't be ordering food from...
