Ellianos Coffee Dothan — Restaurant in Dothan

Passing through on our way home from vacation, my husband and I wanted a coffee and breakfast sandwich and my 3yo wanted donuts. So we stopped and parked at Ellinaos. My husband and my son went next door to get a donut at Krispy Kreme and I walked up to the window to see if they would let do a walk up order. They opened the door and just looked at me. No “can I help you” or greeting of any kind. I said hello I’ve never been here can I walk up and place an order? She did not speak a word. She handed me two menus and walked back inside. I scanned the code on them to place a mobile order. She didn’t tell me I couldn’t order at the window, I assumed I couldn’t place the order directly there bc she handed me the thing to place the mobile order and shut the door. I wasn’t in our car and my husband had the keys with him so I just a mobile order it was. So after scanning it, I had to select what location we were in. I literally didn’t know where we were. I had been asleep until my husband woke me up to stop. I went back to the door again and she opened it. I said hey can you tell me where we are? The app has you choose the location and I don’t know where we are. Like the city. She said Dothan AL and shut the door. Absolutely awful customer service. Sandwiches were so-so and so was the coffee but we didn’t have high hopes for the food considering the employees displayed zero customer service skills. I was so mad that we didn’t just go to Starbucks and then hit up Loyless for his donut. Starbucks isn’t my favorite but at least I would have had better than subpar service and communication from the employees. If walking up is not permitted, that is fine. I think the grit bowls are really good . That’s what I’ve went to get lately . The problem is I’ve been 3 separate times and they have been out of the bowls. One visit they had us wait for a grit bowl and parked us to wait for the grits just to say 10 mins later they wouldn’t have grits and we had already been there 15 mins so we got a refund . Then again in the same week yesterday they were out and it was early in the morning and last week it happened as well . I'm a regular here l because I work next door at Midas. And lemme tell you today the mix or whatever was disgusting I even went back and had them remake my usual cookies and cream freezer. It is horrendous. Tastes like straight coffee. Both times! As someone who buys two every morning I'm very upset that not only did it taste bad the first time but a second time too.
