Fatback's — Restaurant in Dothan

Absolutely disgusting! This was our first time dining here and it will be the last! First let me say our server was very sweet and very helpful, probably the best part of the experience. We started off with the loaded nachos and fried mushrooms. The nachos had what looked and tasted like old reheated chopped pork on them. The put the pork and the cheese over the chips then heated them under a broiler so the cheese plastered all the chips together. Then they drizzled what was supposed to be sweet bbq sauce and sour cream that tasted rancid and spoiled over them and served it. Lets talk about the mushrooms, the crisp was perfect and I wanted to love them, but absolutely no seasoning at all, not a pinch of salt or seasoning whatsoever. Next my wife got the "pulled pork" sandwich with fries. The meat on that bun was so old and dry it literally had turned into hunks of hard un-chewable matter. Same with both of my kids sandwiches. It was literally so dry and old it was unedible. Then I got the pork platter, first let me say none of the pork was pulled, it was chopped and mangled into hunks. My portion of meat was cold and loaded with arteries, fat and gristle, and not a lick of flavor or seasoning. It was disgusting! The fries were the best thing all 4 of us had. With my platter I got potato salad and baked beans. The potato salad looked like a creamed plop of yellow mayonnaise, with no texture or an ounce of flavor. The baked beans were cold and looked and tasted like someone dumped them out of a can onto the dish and served them to me!! Nasty! 🤢 So, I let out server know about the issues, and instead of taking the uneaten food off of our ticket, the manager or owner lady whichever, gave me a measley $1.40 discount on my pork platter. A joke of a .70 cent discount on my kids meals and a pitiful $1 discount on my wife's meal and a $1 discount on the nachos. The nachos we did eat some, but our meals were not touched. What a sorry way to take care of a customer!!! I was robbed of $70 basically. How in the hell is this place still in business? I will never walk through the doors of this place ever again! Out of every single place we have eaten in Dothan, this is the worst experience we have ever, ever had!!!! How in the hell do you serve reheated old dry chopped up pork and expect people to eat that and pay their hard earned money for it!!!! You should be ashamed, and then when we havent touched the crap and we make it known that its no good, you you hand out a meager discount instead of taking it off my ticket and allowing us the opportunity to order something different? Terribile awful way of doing business!! Never again!!! I hope people of dothan have better expectations of what they spend their money on. If you honestly are ok with spending your money at an establishment, and what I just described above comes to your table, and you are ok with it, that is your choice but you should know there is better out there and you are not eating quality food for your money. So now we head home with a giant bag full of nasty food that we are not going to eat and honestly, Im not even sure if I want to feed it to my dogs. Harsh, yes but its the damn...

.... Anyway , went there for the first time tonight. Just know : IT WILL BE THE FIRST TIME & THE LAST TIME !!!!!!!!!! ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING !! ....its NOT edible , VERY OLD FOOD , cold , & no seasoning !!!! .... looked online , prices were ok / good. Went in person to check it out and see what it was like , well , we were NOT IMPRESSED!! WE WERE NOT GREETED WHEN WE CAME IN !! WE DIDN'T KNOW TO SEAT OURSELVES ; there WASN'T a sign or anyone telling us any different. My youngest daughter and I walked to the bar to ask because we didn't know and I had to grab a menu. .... FINALLY , as we sat somewhere , we were noticed. We ordered and we REGRETTED THAT WE ORDERED ONCE FOOD ARRIVED. .... ONLY OK THING WAS THE FRIES. THAT'S SAD !!!! ..... OUR FOOD WASNT SEASONED / COOKED RIGHT , OUR FOOD WAS FATTY , UNDERCOOKED , AND OLD !! who the hell serves someone OLD , DRIED FOOD ( as if it was put in the FRIDGE & REHEATED MULTIPLE TIMES IN the MICROWAVE !! ) ?????? .... We spent a total of nearly $80 ( it was close to $75 , yet , receipt WONT SHOW YOU THAT , JUST THE DISCOUNTED PARTS ) , but even after complaining to our server , who did the "best" she could with her service , we ended up paying a few cents short of $70 !!!!!!!!!!

~ so overall , we WILL NOT BE RETURNING AND WE WERE NOT IMPRESSED ON OUR FIRST TIME THERE. BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE : DONT EAT THERE , SPEND UR HARD EARNED MONEY ELSEWHERE , & MAKE SURE YOU GET SOMETHING YOU KNOW U LIKE !! Went to Fatbacks yesterday which was June 8th and I wish I could say I had a pleasant experience but it was anything but. We spent $65 on possibly the worst meals we have ever had. The baked beans were basically pork and beans that were boiled to death with a little bit of ketchup. In my opinion the ribs have never seen a grill they had no crispy crust on them whatsoever no seasoning. My son was not even asked what size order he wanted so of course they brought him the $24 plate. The tea was weak as water. My barbecue chicken sandwich had no seasoning to it it was dry as a bone no sauce and the sauce they brought me tasted like ketchup with hot sauce.. and it was brought in a little cup that was the only option of barbecue sauce. My other son got a BluBurger which he ordered medium rare needless to say came back completely well done with no type of condiments. The people across the aisle from us said they found hair in their macaroni and cheese. Needless to say that ended the meal for me.
