Visited the Montgomery Highway location on 3/06/25 between 6:30 and 7:00 pm. Ordered 5 piece grilled chicken meal. Grilled. Not fried. Trusted the cashier and found all five fried when I got home. Being the third time this has happened, I called the store. The manager on duty was very friendly and polite. She apologized and asked if I wanted to return for the grilled fingers. I live 20 minutes away, so I told her I wouldn’t be coming back that evening. She said that would be okay, come back the next day, she wrote my name and I would get a replacement free of charge. I returned the next day around 10:30 am and told the cashier what the evening manager had told me. She asked for a receipt, which I wasn’t told to save. I told her I didn’t have it. But I did tell her the manager took my name a left a note. She went to the back and said there was no such note. And then replied “I’m sorry, but she would have told you to bring it back with a receipt.” As though I was being dishonest and begging for a free meal. To avoid further hassle of already having been inconvenienced twice now, i told her that’s fine. I’ll pay for a 5 piece meal but I won’t be back. To further insult me, she then asked if I had a call log to show that I even called the night before, which I produced very quickly from my phone. I repeated to her again that it was fine, I would pay for a new order but I wouldn’t be back. She told me she was sorry but the note did not exist. Then……..the actual manager who I should have probably been speaking to the whole time came out with the note that I said would have my name and information about this whole situation. So of course I told her she shouldn’t accuse people of lying. She claimed she didn’t imply that at all. And then she claimed to have apologized to me and that was the end of the discussion. The only apology I got was due to the fact that she wasn’t going to help make things right. She rang up the chicken fingers for free even though I insisted on paying and after I was treated like someone being dishonest. I called the store on Highway 84 to try to reach out to the owner of the Goldfinger franchises. She took my name and telephone number and told me I would receive a call back, which of course also never happened. So from the way I was treated, even though I have eaten there many, many times, I learned a valuable lesson. They would rather find a way to prove you are lying to them instead of taking care of their customers and they will apologize for not believing you in the first place and call that an apology. So please check your order before driving home to avoid this from happening to you. And like I said before…….I...
Read moreI have bought thousands of dollars worth of food from this establishment over many years, but unfortunately I had the worst experience at a food establishment today than I have ever had in my life and I am 64 years old. I was basically called a thief by the manager of the Goldfingers on Montgomery Highway in Dothan Alabama. I placed an order through the app for the following: BOX OF FRIES 4.99 REGULAR FRIES GALLON OF GOLDFINGERS' TEA 2.99 SWEET TEA BOX OF TOAST 3.75 BOX OF SWEET POTATO FRIES 6.99 BOX OF CORN NUGGETS (25) 4.99 60 NUGGETS AND SAUCE 23.99 SIDE SPECIAL SAUCE NO SIDE RANCH
I then went through the drive thru to pick up my food. Unfortunately, I did not verify the items I was handed. Instead I trusted that the employees would treat me fair. Bad idea. When I got home I was missing the box of toast, the box of corn nuggets, the ranch sauce, and the special sauce. I decided to call them back expecting the response “I am sorry sir, if you would like to come back we will have those items ready for you.” Instead, after I got passed off to the manager, she told me that there was nothing she could do. Why? Because she had TWO of their employees who verified that my food was bagged completely. It may have been bagged, but it was not handed through the window into my hands. Then this same rude, disrespectful, and non customer service oriented manager told me that in the future I needed to verify my order before I leave. Well, I probably won’t have need of verifying any future orders because there may not be any more orders placed with an establishment that thinks I am attempting to steal $10-$15 worth of food from them. No, I am not a thief, but I am certainly not a happy customer. I can’t believe how I was treated over the phone. And then she told me to have a good day. The nerve of...
Read moreSo last night march 1st I ordered the 12 piece nugget meal with plain nuggets due to me having gastro esophageal reflux disease and ulcers. The service and atmosphere was great but the nuggets almost landed me in the Emergency Room. My nuggets were spicy and at first I thought it was the dipping sauce so I ate a second nugget without it. I then realized I was in for a long excruciating/painful night. I ended up vomiting until I start bleeding from vomiting so much, which that didn't stop until this morning around 7 am. I also had to deal with my G.E.R.D and ulcers inflamed to the max all night vomiting and tossing and turning in bed like a slug who just had salt poured on it. So for anyone who has any issues or sensitivity to spicy foods do not order their plain nuggets because they are still spicy without sauce. I grew three stars because I still loved the service and work atmosphere, I just didn't like that I couldn't enjoy my food due to the nuggets being so spicy and damn near almost killed me. It was my first time having them but sadly due to the plain chicken being spicy I will never be able to eat there again mainly out of fear of a repeat scary situation happening again. For those who don't have issues like me the food smells good and tastes good to and is always hot and fresh. This review isnt to discourage anyone but simply warn people with stomach issues like myself that can't have spicy foods to avoid...
