Zaxbys Chicken Fingers & Buffalo Wings — Restaurant in Dothan

This Zaxby's used to be one of the best in town, but the quality of this place is now actually a solid half star. Two weeks ago my wife and I stopped in for takeout, when we received our food the wings were cold and sauce was minimal at best. When I called they claimed they wanted to fix it and they would put my name in a book, but I had to give them a date on which I would return and they would replace my food. Today I called because this is the date I gave them to return. When I called at first they told me I had already gotten my meals replaced today to which I told them I had not even been in for them yet. Reluctantly they replaced my meals and as a gesture of good faith I purchased an order of fried pickles. However my disappointment grew once I got home with my food. Normally there is enough sauce in our trays that the wings are swimming in it and I have plenty left over for dipping my bread and fries or even my tenders ( I usually get the wings n things plate with tongue torch sauce. ) This time however my sauce was even less than minimal, I had to slide my wings around in the container pocket to even get a taste of sauce on them, I realize times are tough and money is tight but that should not be reason enough to cut way back on what is making your money. My fries were cold and once again there was next to none of the seasoning they use on them. I could barely taste salt and had only a hint of the rest of the fry seasoning. Why would you blow your second chance to keep a customer returning. Momma always said not to look a gift horse in the mouth but at least give me reason to return and put forth some effort when you get a second chance. I guess I will not be returning to the Zaxby's on Montgomery highway in Dothan Alabama anytime...

I always try to give a restaurant a second chance if I have a bad experience. However this is now my third time eating at this zaxbys. And none of which have been great experiences. This one by far has been the worst. To start, I walk in the dining room over an hour before closing time. And all of the chairs are being put up floors swept and mopped, I get that people want to get their work done. So they can go home, but to be cleaning and mopping around people eating. It's just a bad vibe. It took 23 min for my order to get ready. And that's after I went to the counter twice to check on it. Once I sat down I realized they had giving me someone else's order. Now I will give them credit out only took 2 min to remake my order kinda funny could not do that on the first place!. The foor was good no complaints there. But that's not were the worst part was. I watched the woman who was clearly the bathroom walk back to the front counter to serve food without changing gloves . Not once but twice!!! After I was done eating I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. Where are young man was in the bathroom stall who was a employee. He walked out the bathroom without washing his hands. I hope if anyone reads this you have a better experience...

My wife and I ordered the 5 piece traditional wing meal last night, 4/28/23, somewhere between 7:30 and 8:00pm, and when we began eating the wings, we realized they were cold. I took the meals to the counter and let a young man know they were cold. He took the meals and gave them to another young man in the kitchen, and I assume they prepared new orders. The orders were good until I got to the last wing. It was just as cold as the first order. Needless to say, we will not eat at Zaxby’s again. Also, the store was filthy. The trash cans were running over, and the counter where the tea and selective condiments are kept was unclean as well. By the way, there is no longer self serve ketchup, and the napkins were left unstocked. I guess Zaxby’s bottom line must be hurting. Obviously, there is no one actually running this business and overseeing it. In addition, our order was given to us in a to-go bag even though we were eating in. I took that as a subtle hint they do not want their customers eating inside. I used to really enjoy Zaxby’s, but the quality of the food and service is poor. We will not return to Zaxby’s. If Zaxby’s continues in this manner, they’ll be out of business soon. I would give a negative rating below...
