Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers — Restaurant in Douglas

you only have one chance at a first impression and unfortunately Freddy's made a horrible one for me. i love places like cook-out and highway 55 so i was excited to try this place. Overall the food was okay, its new so I'm sure the quality will get better when it slows down but my biggest gripe is that i got food poisoning from this restaurant. i got a burger, chili cheese fries, and a brownie delight and within one hour of eating i felt super nauseous, so nauseous i called out of work. eventually i finally vomited (twice) and knew for sure i had food poisoning. I'm not sure if a worker didn't change their gloves due to the rush or what but i will not be returning to this restaurant for a long time if ever. discretion for the photos but this is to show that i truly was ill. This is the newest restaurant in Douglas, GA and all of us in the community appreciate Freddy’s coming to our town. The staff is very friendly and orders are filled quickly. My fish sandwich was very large and served with a pickle slice. I added onion rings. My wife had a double patty sirloin burger with mushrooms and onion rings. The food was VERY greasy. Most fast-food restaurants are expected to have greasy, fried food, but this was a bit much. There were no grilled choices or salads. Despite lots of staff, trash cans at 5 pm were overflowing and dining room tables were dirty. So I’d give the food 5 stars and the staff at the window JUST TODAY a 1 star. The girl (at the first window) rolled her eyes at me at the fact that her teammate(at the speaker) told me to pull to the second window and the second window girl yelled past the customer that was at her window that I didn’t pay (it was a mobile order 🙄) It truly was not put together well in that moment. My previous trip it went well which was my first visit that how I know it could be done there. Communication guys! Not yelling over the customers in line to be accused of not paying and rolling your eyes. You got this!
