When passing by on our way to get gas wife said we need to stop here. We have past by numerous times and she always say we need to stop. Well today we did and was it worth the wait Damn right it was. The place is quaint and cozy nothing fancy but I like it. Music playing in the background I know not what are singing about but who cares it's entertaining. The tv is good to watch sports I can see it packed during Soccer matches.
Costillas, arroz blanco and salad is my dish. Pollo, arroz chafua, tostones and salad. My wife dish looked so delicious I wanted to trade with her. That being said my dish look scrumptious. Ribs were tender with a little bit of bbq sauce on them. The seasoning on the ribs was tasty we definitely will return. Why cause I have to get the dish my wife had. The chicken looked so juicy the sweet plantains were tender with a crunch. After eating I was ready to kick back and watch tv I was full and done. My wife didn't finished her meal and didn't share with me when we got home.
The wait was definitely worth it knew it was "Spanish Food" but which Spanish is it. Peruvian this is why you have to love America. People come from all over the world to share their culture and good...
Read moreCame last week during the week for lunch. Ordered lunch special and regular dish. The ceviche was good. But the main dish was bad as in spoiled, beware. Got food poisoning later that day it was the seco de res (it tasted weird as if it was off or old meat) initally thought it was just their cooking style because it was as cilantro flavor as another place that I had gone too. Shouldve followed my insti ct and told the waitress but i did not want to complain and be one of those pesky patrons. Now i know the taste was not me being picky it was either old or reheated meat. The chicken broaster was not good either - way too salty. It was not the regaulr rotisserie style but deep fried and breaded. Had uncontrollable bowls and horrible stomach aches and could not sleep from that evening into Sunday for 4 days. Warning if the dish tastes different stick with your instinct and dont attempt to finish it. This was the only meal i ate for lunch as it was such a large portion i took it to go since i could not finish it there so I had it some left over for the next day. Which was when the situation got worse. Wont be...
Read moreBase on the reviews I decided to go with my family and DEFINITELY DID NOT LIKE IT. The restaurant is decent and small but only one waiter with only 2/3 tables available. Should've had at least one more waiter besides the lady. Portions were good but Taste, DEFINITELY NOT SO GREAT. I've been to a lot of Peruvian restaurants and on top of that I'm Peruvian myself so therefore I know the dishes and flavors. Our son loves rotisserie chicken and he didn't like it, I ordered green spaghetti (Tallarin verde) Definitely needed more flavor, salt and basil. My husband ordered Jalea and it was dry not to mentioned the lady didn't come back to check on us and never came to give my husband some hot sauce for the Jalea. Best places I have ate Peruvian food from is Costa Marina in downtown Paterson NJ and Joey's Restaurant in Totowa NJ. Lastly, the chicha morada needed more sugar, it...
