This is one of those newfangled McDonalds' where everything is automated. You walk in, and what you see are "order stations" with touch screens for placing your order, including entering your payment information, and the front part of the restaurant (where the front counter "should be") apparently only is used for picking up your completed order. Call me "old school," I don't care, but I broke with tradition and placed my order with a live person in the front (I'm surprised they let me do it, or at least didn't say something to me). After ordering, you take a number out to your table, and someone brings the food out to you. At this point, I was beginning to wonder if I was supposed to leave a gratuity at a fast food restaurant! The food was warm and OK, but the caramel latte was not properly stirred up, and the first part of the drink was pretty tasteless... like hot water. The reason I am only giving this review two stars is that I attempted several times to place my order from my car using the McDonald's app on my smartphone. The app refused to accept my payment information which already was saved in the app (even though there was plenty of money in the bank), and there was no option for editing that saved payment information, or to review it to see if it might be in error. After about three failed attempts to use the app, with the same payment information error, I finally just went inside. They gave us a hot mocha. Not wanting to make a big deal out of it and I like the other drink anyways I said screw it I will just drink it.
I take a sip of the drink and it tastes like rotten milk was put in.
I go back through The drive-thru and I'm greeted by an aggressive Austin who says he is the manager.
He proceeds to tell me that he will not make another drink for us and that a refund is not an option either.
I asked him if he was the general manager and he said no I asked to speak to the general manager who overheard the conversation slightly
She said yes she would remake the drink no problem.
However by this time Austin Was very obviously emotionally frustrating and showing signs of physical aggression.
All of this for a caramel mocha.
What is the world coming to please don't be like Austin.

Read moreSo disappointed, I went inside this McDonalds Sunday Sept 21 at 915 am. Used to work at this location in the 80s for Dana & Vicki Lewis who had standards for the stores cleanliness . The UNCLEAN condition of Dover McDonalds is very sad. Floors were slimy, door glass obviously not cleaned for days , stuff all over the floors and fries under the fryers, obviously from the day before since it was 915 am ,I didn't dare to take my son in the restroom and had him hold it till we went back home cause I can only imagine the condition of the restrooms. I did everything for the Lewis run McDonalds from grill crew trainer ,leader and later Bolivar store Night maintenance/DAILY CLEANING. The store managers would come every morning and walk thru with Night Maintenance and inspect the store for cleanliness. It's sad to see this is obviously a thing of the past. Neither Dana nor Vicki would approve of this stores condition. Get it together...
