After visiting Tony's Pizza, our experience left much to be desired. We ordered a small gluten-free pepperoni pizza, a small gluten-free sausage pizza, and a large pepperoni pizza, but the sizes and quality did not match the steep $70 price tag. The 'large' pizza seemed far from its description, while the small ones were truly miniature, hardly justifying their cost. Regrettably, the taste of all three pizzas was disappointing. The dough was unusually thick and seemed undercooked, giving an unpleasant, raw texture. It's distressing to say that the quality was far below expectations, making it possibly the worst pizza I've ever tasted. Comparatively, a long-forgotten, six-month-old frozen pizza from my freezer would surpass the quality offered here. Additionally, the atmosphere inside the establishment was not welcoming, and it felt like a typical tourist trap. This, combined with the lackluster quality of the food, added to the overall disappointment. Furthermore, the service was subpar, as there was an initial attempt to provide only two pizzas instead of the three we had purchased. It felt like an unfortunate situation where they were taking advantage of unsuspecting customers. Overall, our visit to Tony's Pizza was an unfortunate experience. The exorbitant prices for underwhelming quality, coupled with lackluster service and an uninviting atmosphere, made it a regrettable dining choice. I genuinely hope this review helps others in making informed decisions. It's disheartening to witness such a renowned establishment fall so short of...
Read moreI usually don't leave reviews, but this service exchange was completely unacceptable. We got food at Tony's the previous day and it was passable and fair price, but issue was the next day. We wanted to purchase some ciders from them to support a small business, but they refused to believe my valid out of state ID. On top of that, they wouldn't even take my valid military ID as proof. To make matters worse, there were 4 of us, all military and over 21 (we were all 23) and still refused to sell to us.
Anyone that won't take the word and IDs of 4 military members doesn't deserve to be in business, so stay clear and get some better pizza and beer from literally...
Read moreWe relocated to Vermont several years ago and missed our pizza from New Jersey. When we found Tony’s it was amazing. Tony’s pizza is the best in the area by far. They have excellent pizza, sandwiches, salads and apps. The employees are so great and friendly. With all these new brick oven “New Haven” style places popping up I’m happy to have a consistent delicious option for my Friday night pizza. Tony’s has been a staple in Dover for years and I am sure they are going to be here...
